SOLUTION: A laser zone texture 12a composed of a number of bumps 12c is provided in a region except regions facing to a minimum fly height region of a head slider at the time of landing within the landing zone 12 of the magnetic disk. Then the bumps 12c are not formed in a region facing to the minimum fly height region of the head slider to be bump-free zone 12b.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To improve recording density by applying different alternating voltages to a plurality of piezoelectric converting elements provided on a slider so that they can be vibrated in various ways, and controlling the height of the flight, attitude, and release of adsorption or the like of the slider. CONSTITUTION: Piezoelectric converting elements 8A-8D in the same size are fixed to four corners at positions symmetric from a center of gravity G on a back surface 3 of a slider 1, and a means 9 which applies different alternating voltages to each element is connected. When alternating currents with the same phase are added to each element 8A-8D, the horizontal attitude of the slider 1 is held so that the center of gravity G can be held, and up and down vibration is operated. As a result, the slider 1 is floated on a static surface 4 by a compressed air film generated between a sliding face 2 and a disk surface 4. When the slider 1 is made static for a long time, and adsorbed by the surface 4, the alternating voltages with opposite phases are added to the elements 8A, 8B and 8C, 8D so that the pitching vibration cab be generated and the release can be easily attained. Thus, recording density can be improved by vibrating the slider in various ways, and controlling the height of the flight, attitude, and release of the adsorption or the like of the slider.
