Abstract:
Wetting by toners of the surface of reusable photoconductors in electrophotographic processes results in image cycling in adhesion of the toner to the photoconductor surface to form a film. Such filming is reduced or eliminated by introducing into the system a small amount of boron nitride.
Abstract:
A doctor blade (9) is used to apply a powdered toner to the depleted regions (5) of a resistive thermal transfer ribbon comprising a resistive substrate (1) and a layer of thermally fusible ink (3). The ribbon is moved adjacent a heating electrode (13, 15) that passes current through the resistive substrate (1) of the ribbon so that a transverse line on the ribbon is heated and the added toner is fused in the depleted regions (5) of the ribbon. The heated area of the ribbon is thereafter compressed by a cold roller (17) to provide a uniform re-inked surface.
Abstract:
ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC DEVELOPER The formation of toner film on the photoconductor in electrophotography is reduced by adding to the developer toner a small amount of fibrillatable polytetrafluoroethylene, and working the mixture until a random network of fibers of said polytetrafluoroethylene is formed.

RIBBON FOR NON-IMPACT PRINTING The present invention is concerned with a ribbon for non-impact printing. The ribbon comprises a transfer coating and a substrate which is a polycarbonate resin containing from about 15% to about 40% by weight of electrically conductive carbon black.
