    Abstract: DEVICE FOR MOVING A MOBILE ROBOT To run and move a mobile robot safely and effectively in an environment obtained from a plurality of different sensors. Sonar data given as distance information for an object is used to interpret the surface configuration of an object at a sonar interpretation section. Three-dimensional information about stereo data based on image signals from stereo cameras is used to interpret the surface configuration of an object at a stereo interpretation section. At a hypothesis generation section, a geometrically consistent interpretation is used taken from interpretations obtained from each sensor to generate a hypothesis giving the configuration of an object. A table is used to determine which data is assigned priority, sonar or stereo, to check sensor data corresponding to the surface configuration of the hypothesis against actual sensor data with the passage of time to verify the hypothesis. The mobile robot moves to avoid an obstacle, or its movement is directed, in accordance with the hypothesis with respect to the current environment by referencing the run route.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a table editor including a display device and line information storage means for storing information indicative of lines making up a table. Further information storage means store information indicative of pointing marks. The table and pointing marks are displayed on the display and location pointing means updates pointing mark information to direct a location of a pointing mark. Upon the generation of a line identifying command, line identification means identifies a line indicated by a pointing mark based on the pointing mark information and the identifying command. Insertion commands update the line information so that if a line identified by said line identification means is located between two consecutive rows, one or more new rows are inserted and, if a line identified by the line identification means is located between two consecutive columns, one or more new columns are inserted in response to the insertion command.

When the competitive machine has acquired the right, the machine joins a transmission queue (125) and, whenever machine receives the declaration of the waiver of the energy wave transmitting right from other moving machines, the machine increases its priority in the queue.

A hypothesis generating part 32 generates a hypothesis for the form of the subject using an interpretation without geometrically having inconsistency based on an interpretation obtained from sensors, and it time-serially collates sensor data corresponding to the surface form of the hypothesis with actual sensor data using a table deciding priority to be put between the sonar data and stereo camera data based on the hypothesis to test the hypothesis. For movement of a mobile robot, the mobile robot is guided for avoiding action referring to a traveling passage and in accordance with the hypothesis related to current environments.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To enable a moving machine to securely avoid an obstacle through its smooth movement irrelevantly to the number of obstacles encountered when the moving machine follows a route and whether an obstacle moves or not. CONSTITUTION: An intermediate value of control output is generated by a route follow-up guidance system with a signal indicating the deviation from the route to be followed, and also generated by an obstacle avoiding guidance system with a signal relating to the movable space of the machine. Weight coefficients corresponding to the two systems are generated through fuzzy inference based upon the signal indicating the deviation from the specific route and the signal relating to the movable space of the machine. A final control output value is calculated from the two intermediate values and two weight coefficients.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To improve operability by picking a ruled line held there between the upper and lower rows of an insertion position at the time of inserting a row and picking the ruled line held there between the left and right columns of the insertion position at the time of inserting a column. CONSTITUTION: At the time of inserting the row, the ruled line of the insertion position, that is the ruled line held there between the upper and lower columns of an insertion row, is picked.
