    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing equipment capable of realizing respectively suitable scrolling functions in the vertical and horizontal display modes. SOLUTION: At the time of a vertical display mode, when a rotary switch is operated clockwise, that is upwards along an equipment left side face, contents are scrolled upwards. On the contrary, when the rotary switch is operated counterclockwise, that is downwards along the equipment left side face, the contents are scrolled downwards. On the other hand, at the time of horizontally placing the equipment, the rotary switch is positioned at a lower left corner part. Then, at the time of a horizontal display mode, when the rotary switch is rotated clockwise, that is upwards along the equipment left side face (pertinent to the upper side face at the time of the vertical placement), the contents are scrolled upwards. On the contrary, when the rotary switch is dial- operated counterclockwise, that is downwards along the equipment left side face, the contents are scrolled downwards. The display contents are scrolled as they are by intuitively operating a single rotary switch in either of the vertical/horizontal display modes.

The upper and lower ruled lines of a deleting row are picked at the time of deleting the row and the left and right ruled lines of a deleting column are picked at the time deleting the column. Thus, the rule line itself clarifies the insertion / deletion position, the row and the column are visually judged regardless of the concept of the row and the column and the row and the column are specified as they are.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To facilitate the operation of a computer by securing the virtual cooperation to show an object put on a computer as if it were connected to an actual job. CONSTITUTION: A user gets close to a terminal 28 installed in each display booth and operates a push button 34 of a handed wireless mouse 16 to which an ID is previously registered. Thus a memo object is retrieved by a host computer based on the ID and opened on a monitor 42 of the terminal 28. This opened memo object functions as an object that is prepared exclusively for the user who operated the mouse 16 in a building. The object which is exclusively used in the building has an editing function, and the user can freely handle this object. Thus the user performs the final editing job of the information recorded in the display booth and prints out the edited information in an editing booth. Then the user returns his mouse 16 and leaves the building.

When the operator processes an instruction switch 36, signals including the brightness and darkness state of the object from an instruction device 12 are inputted through the SW judgement part 62 of a PC 18 to a brightness and darkness judgement part 64, brightness and darkness judgement is started in the brightness and darkness judgement part 64 and the brightness of the respective objects is made to fluctuate by the object control part 68. Along with the brightness fluctuation of the objects, the instructed object is decided based on the brightness detected by a photosensor in the brightness and darkness judgement part 64 and a processing (screen changeover), corresponding to the decided object is executed by an object corresponding processing part 66.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide a virtual conference system which can intuitively, clearly and effectively expedite proceedings. CONSTITUTION: All terminals 161 to 16K are connected with one another through a network, attendants 181 to 18K who operate each terminal are shown as agents 201 to 20K and the agents 201 to 20K are shown in a virtual conference window 62 that shows a complete view of a conference room which is shown in a display screen of every terminal. When each attendant is given the right to speak or use the blackboard in conference, his agent shows which attendant has the right by moving to the platform or in front of the blackboard in response to the attendant's behavior. The volume, etc., of voices are controlled and also the situation is shown by agents' movement in response to a secret story among attendants and the chairperson's remark. Thus, a conference proceeding state is visually shown through each agent's movement by transmitting moving information of each attendant in conference to each terminal.
