Abstract: A method which is capable of performing an operation of creating a sentence and an operation of adjusting a voice attribute at the same time.
If a key for embedding an embedding command into an unsettled character string is pushed with the state where the unsettled character string has been displayed after kana-kanji conversion, the voice attribute information held by a voice attribute information input section 115 is embedded in the form of an embedded command into the unsettled character string. Also, if a key for instructing voice synthesis is pushed with this state, voice synthesis is performed according to the embedded voice attribute information.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To output a text to each of users whom an electronic mail is transmitted by voice with a peculiar tone. SOLUTION: A receiving section 30 outputs a text and a header of a received electronic mail to a voice synthesizing section 32. A voice font switching section 326 outputs a transmitter side ID included in the header to a voice font retrieving section 328. The voice font retrieving section 328 retrieves tone data in a voice font data base section 303, and supplies tone data in which user ID included in the header of tone data matched with the transmitter side ID to a rhythm control section 322 and a voice generating section 324 in accordance with the retrieved result. The rhythm control section 322, the voice generating section 324, and a voice output section 38 read contents of a text with tone indicated by voice pieces included in supplied tone data, generate a voice signal characterized by rhythm data included in the header of tone data, and output it.

After that, when the pointer 32 is further moved to a button 20 side by the user and comes in contact with the button 20, the button 20 is crushed by four dots, and an operation to increase the movable range by four dots is repeated. Finally, when the count value of such operation exceeds a regulated value 3, an event representing the depression of the button 20 is delivered to an application side, and an application performs the scroll processing of a display area.

The KANA/KANJI conversion dictionary program is compiled as a dynamic link library routine(DLL) especially under an operating system for supporting the DLL, and the dictionary retrieval function is usably exported by the other program.
