    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a laser cover 13 whose freely separable part 17 has flexibility to turn a personal computer main body thickness part 11 and a digitizer thickness part 12 into a mutually overlapped state or a mutually opened state at the opposite side to a back middle part 15, and to accurately detect the overlapped state of the personal main body thickness part 11 and the digitizer thickness part 12 in spite of any deviation generated between the personal main body thickness part 11 and the digitizer thickness part 12 due to the arbitrary bending of the freely separable part 17. SOLUTION: A photosensor device 35 including an infrared radiator 40 and an infrared detector 41 is arranged at a personal computer main body thickness part 11. A flexible reflecting member 36 is attached to the prescribed face of a freely separable part 17 of a laser cover 13 so that a prescribed area is assured. When the personal computer main body thickness part 11 and the digitizer thickness part 12 are turned into an overlapped state, light radiated from the infrared radiator 40 is reflected on a flexible reflecting member 36, and falls on the infrared detector 41.

SOLUTION: The method for mounting an LCD panel on a notebook PC 1 relates to the method for mounting an LCD panel 2 on a PC main body 3. According to the 1st invention, a spring latch receiving part for fixing the LCD panel on the PC main body when housing the LCD panel in the PC main body on the upper part of the LCD panel. According to the 2nd invention, the LCD panel is fixed and prevented from being laterally moved by arranging side fins on both side faces of the lower part of the LCD panel, arranging side walls on both side faces of a keyboard of the PC main body, and putting out the side fins on both sides on the side wall. According to the 3rd invention, the LCD panel is fixed by providing the back side edge part on the lower part of the LCD panel with projections, arranging depressions for receiving these projections on the PC main body side, and setting the projections in the depressions.
