    Abstract: PURPOSE: To prevent an electronic equipment from being shut down even if the electronic equipment requires more excessive power as compared with a normal operation due to inrush current by performing constant current feedback control for each output terminal voltage. CONSTITUTION: A constant current value controller 20 constantly monitors an output terminal voltage VOUT by inputting power lines 18 in parallel and at the same time adjusts current by operating the resistance of a variable resistor RV in response to VOUT. Namely, when starting a system 100, an excessive power is momentarily required. In this case, the constant current value controller 20 controls RV based on a control table, no constant current feedback control means is activated even if output current exceeds a prescribed value, and the output current can be increased while maintaining the output terminal voltage VOUT by a low-voltage feedback control means, thus preventing an electronic equipment from being shut down.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power loss by reducing the operating frequency of a power supply unit on standby, for example, in soft-off or suspended state or when a line has not been connected. SOLUTION: An AC adaptor 10 is installed so that the adaptor is connectable to equipment main body through a power line, and is provided with a rectification bridge diode 11 for rectifying inputted alternating-current voltage; a capacitor 12 for smoothing the voltage; a switching transistor 13 that performs switching of the rectified and smoothed voltage; and a pulse width modulation IC 15 that provides an operating frequency for the performed switching. The pulse width modulation IC 15 provides a first operating frequency to the switching transistor 13 when the equipment main body performs normal operation, and a second operating frequency lower than the first operating frequency to the switching transistor 13 when the power line between the adaptor and the equipment main body is disconnected or when the equipment main body is in a specified standby state.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent voltage stability from deteriorating by operating a switching regulator at a frequency N or 1/N times the frequency of a master switching regulator. CONSTITUTION:The power of a power source 10, after it is rectified and smoothed, is supplied to a master switching regulator(MSR) 13 and slave switching regulators(SSR) 14, 15A, and 15B. For switching, the regulator MSR 13 oscillates at 130kHz when a display control circuit 6 is turned off; it oscillates at 126kHz being four times the horizontal deflection synchronous frequency of a horizontal and vertical deflection control circuit 7 when the display control circuit 6 is turned on. The regulators SSR 15A, 15B oscillate at frequencies 1/4 and 1/2 times that of the MSR 13 respectively for switching. By oscillating all the SSRs synchronized with the MSR 13, a beat phenomenon is prevented from being generated.
