Abstract:
A computer implemented method for evaluating autonomous vehicle safety that includes defining criteria for safety of autonomous vehicles in a test space, and dividing the test space into an intended test space (23) and a un-intended test space (24) for the criteria for safety of autonomous vehicles. The intended test space (23) includes characterizations for the autonomous vehicle that can be quantified, and the un-intended test space (24) includes characterizations that are not quantifiable. The method further includes measuring the safety of the autonomous vehicles in the intended test space (23). The applying the un-intended test space (24) is applied to the intended test space (23) as feedback into the intended test space (23); and evaluating the intended test space (23) including the feedback from the un-intended test space (24) using a combined simulation of peripheral vehicles and autonomous vehicles to provide the evaluation of autonomous vehicle safety.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network system that can realize high-speed utilization of network connection through the use of satellite channels. SOLUTION: The network system measures a data transfer rate in the case of using a telephone line where two-way communication is available between a server and a client and in the case of using a satellite channel where only one-way communication from the server to the client is available and selects the telephone line or the satellite channel depending on the measured data transfer speed.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a memory controller, a chip and a method for performing data transfer to an LCD (liquid crystal display) so that disturbance is not generated in the display of the LCD. SOLUTION: A chip 10 is constituted so that a DRAM (dynamic random access memory) controller (memory controller) 14 includes a dither circuit 15 for performing dither processing in order to reduce the data amount of data at the time of performing the storing or reading of data. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast system by which a user can browse a web page without using a web browser. SOLUTION: An application server 12 of a transmission facility 10 converts a web page transferred from the Internet 16 into a video image and sets a link onto the video image on the basis of a link set to the web page. A video server 14 of the transmission facility 10 compresses the video image outputted from the application server 12 with an MPEG2 encoder and transmits the compressed video image together with the link set onto the video image. An STB (Set Top Box) 22 of a reception terminal 20 displays the received video image on a television receiver 24 and relates the link set on the received video image with a cursor position on the video image outputted on the television receiver 24.

SOLUTION: This method includes a step for detecting first touch coordinates A, B, C and D; a step for dividing a region surrounded by the first touch coordinates into triangles ABD and BCD regions; a step for searching first correction coefficients by using three first touch coordinates as vertexes for each triangular region; a step for detecting second touch coordinates P and Q in each triangular region; a step for converting the second touch coordinates into the first correction coordinates by using first correction coefficients; a step for detecting a difference between the first correction coordinates and true display coordinates corresponding to the second touch coordinates; a step for, when the difference is larger than a prescribed threshold, dividing the triangle BCD region in which the second touch coordinates are included into three triangle QBD, QBC, and QCD regions with the second touch coordinates as common vertexes; and a step for searching second correction coefficients by using the second touch coordinates and the first touch coordinates as vertexes for each of those regions. SOLUTION: A digital broadcasting receiving system is constituted by using a digital broadcasting receiver 50 including a transmission and reception unit 58 transmitting EPG(electronic program guide) data to a program displaying and selecting device 10 and receiving a signal from the device 10, a display means (LCD) 12 displaying EPG data transmitted from the receiver 50, and the device 10 including an operation means (touch panel) 12 operating the receiver 50 and a transmission/reception unit 14 receiving EPG data transmitted from the receiver 50 and transmitting operation information inputted to the panel 12 to the receiver 50.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To first execute other processing by interrupting a bus cycle under execution when another processing is requested on the condition that no READY signal is returned from the opposite party for a long time although a microprocessor issues a bus cycle. SOLUTION: This system uses a bridge chip 12 provided with a bus retry output part for outputting a bus retry (BRTY) signal and a microprocessor (MPU) 10 provided with a bus retry discriminating part for discriminating the presence/absence of the BRTY signal inputted from the bridge chip 12, a bus cycle control part for temporarily interrupting the bus cycle under execution and executing it again later when this bus retry discriminating part detects the input of the BRTY signal, an interrupt discriminating part for discriminating the presence/absence of another processing request when the bus cycle is interrupted and an interrupt control part for executing the other processing before the re-execution of the bus cycle when that interrupt discriminating part detects the other processing request.
