Abstract: PURPOSE: To charge a battery in a short time, while supplying load with a sufficient drive current by feedback-controlling an output from a power supply, so as to reach approximately a constant power on the basis of a voltage feedback value and a current feedback value. CONSTITUTION: When the output voltage V(0) of an AC adapter 20 is made higher than the potential V(Z1) of a Zener diode(ZD) 148A, the voltage feedback value of a feedback path which passed through the ZD 148A does not reach zero, and the voltage feedback value and a current feedback value from a current-detecting resistor 114 are added by an adder 150. Accordingly, a feedback path passed through a differential amplifier 120 is worked as an approximately constant power control feedback means, and an output from the AC adapter 20 is controlled, so as to reach approximately a constant power on the basis of both the current feedback value and the voltage feedback value. The AC adapter 20 supplies a system load with a drive current, while feeding a battery with a surplus power at that time.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a generation of a memory effect more accurately, while making a secondary cell operate as usual. SOLUTION: It is so regarded that a memory effect is generated, when a cell voltage during discharge is measured and the fact that the cell voltage is too low against the charging current, is detected. The electric power supply device comprises an intelligent cell 12 supplying electric power to a main body circuit, a current measuring circuit 30 measuring a current during discharge, a voltage measuring circuit 40 measuring a voltage during discharge, and a controller 15 detecting the generation of memory effect by judging whether the voltage during discharge measured against the current during discharge when the detected cell capacity is lower than the prescribed capacity, is lower than the prescribed voltage or not.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a power source device, a power source capacity information correction device and a power source capacity information correction method, that can precisely correct the capacity information and to obtain a computer that can precisely correct the capacity information of the built-in power source. SOLUTION: The computer comprises a memory 104, equipped in the main battery 64A of the power source storing the capacity of the battery 106 and the total capacity against the cycle number of the battery 106, and as a correction information to correct the above capacity information. A CPU 102 detects the cycle number of the battery 106, based on the accumulated value of the charged amount of the battery 106. By obtaining the total capacity against the cycle number from this correction information, the capacity information is corrected based on the total capacity obtained.
