Abstract: Web page scripts are managed in a network using a network appliance that intercepts a web page sent from a server and addressed to a client browser; modifies the web page by removing an embedded script, such as a web analytics script, from the web page and preferably replaces it with a new script; executes the removed embedded script; and sends the modified web page from the network appliance to the client browser.
