SOLUTION: This invention relates to digital/analog conversion. According to one embodiment of this invention, a logarithmic transform characteristics can be generated, by subtracting a fraction of an output current from a reference current according to a recursive expression.

Abstract: The bandgap starting method provides a current to the start-up circuit (300), with a peak current of less than 7 micro Amps. A voltage is then provided for the bandgap circuit (302), which is coupled to the start-up circuit. The system then determines whether the bandgap circuit has reached a predetermined voltage value.
