    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved electric machine, preferably a synchronous machine or a synchronous motor, which are used for elevator or lifting installations. SOLUTION: The permanent magnetic electric motor for elevator or lifting installations comprises an armature (7) and a rotor (1, 2). The rotor comprises at least two rings (1) with permanent magnets (2) fixed on their outer surfaces. The rings (1) are mounted on a frames (3) and are fastened laterally together by fastening and alignment means (4), in order to obtain a rotor unity. The identical or similar rings are employed for motors of different rotor lengths, defining standard motor lengths of multiple values of the motor length. The ring (1) may be shifted by a suitable angle. The rotor of the motor can be easily and quickly installed and/or removed within very small spaces, specially of elevator or lifting installations.

    Abstract: A permanent magnet electric motor for elevator or lift installations, comprising a stator (7) and a rotor (1, 2).     Abstract: A permanent magnet electric motor for use in an elevator installation includes a stator and a rotor assembly. The rotor assembly has a frame on which are mounted at least two rings with permanent magnets. The rings are removably mounted and are laterally fixed together by a fastener that also radially aligns the rings. The number of similar rings used defines a rotor length in multiple values of the ring length. The rings can be shifted by a suitable magnetic angle to permit the generation of a skewing effect of the magnets which reduces or eliminates a cogging torque of the motor. The rotor assembly can be easily and quickly installed and/or removed in very small spaces, especially in elevator installations.
