    Abstract: PURPOSE:To achieve a good mixing and spraying condition by means of an exterior mixing type spray gun by feeding and mixing a curing agent into a sprayed air from a curing agent feeding path communicating with a path just before the outlet of the first air hole and ejecting it to the ejected flow of a main agent to mix the main agent and the curing agent. CONSTITUTION:A needle valve 6 for a main agent is opened and the main agent is ejected from a lip-like opening 21 of a chip 17 and spraying is accelerated by particulated air. In addition, a needle valve 32 for a curing agent is pulled and the curing agent is fed into a branched air path 31 on both side faces from the path and it is mixed with an air flow fed into the air path 31 and it is sprayed. In this instance, compressed air is ejected from the second air hole 29 and air flows on both side is expanded by making it collide with a flow from the first air flow 30 on both side faces contg. the curing agent under sprayed condition and it is made into a flat flow to collide with the main agent and to be mixed therewith. Therefore, in the same way, as the expanding flow of the main agent, a divided flow of the curing agent expanding along this collides therewith to obtain a uniform mixing.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To stabilize a pattern and to control a pattern width by spraying a mixed stream of coating material and air from a lip-shaped spray orifice and injecting outwardly opened air streams toward the spray stream in opposed relation to both sides of the spray stream in front of the spray orifice. CONSTITUTION:Air is mixed with the paint stream, which is injected from a coating material nozzle 1 whose opening is controlled by a needle valve, from the periphery and this mixed stream is sprayed from a spray orifice 11 and air is injected from both side surfaces opposed to the spray stream to be again mixed with the spray stream to atomize the same. The nozzle 1 of a spray gun has a round hole and the outer shape thereof is made circular while the spray orifice 11 has an almost lip-shaped opening different in a longitudinal and lateral opening ratio and the outer shape thereof is formed into a conical shape. Atomizing heads each equipped with a side surface air hole 18 injecting an outwardly opened air stream toward the spray stream are provided in opposed relation to both sides of the spray stream in front of the spray orifice 11. As a result, a pattern can be stabilized and a pattern width can be controlled.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To shorten the length of a gun for electrostatic airless spray painting as far as possible and to reduce the size by providing a paint introducing part on the side surface of a grounding handle in the rear part of a gun barrel part. CONSTITUTION:A paint introducing part 15 is provided on the side surface of a grounding handle part 3 in the rear part of a gun barrel part 2. Part of a paint pipe 13 is fixed to the root end of the part 3 by means of a binding plate 14. Thereafter the preceding end of the pipe 13 is extended toward the front of a trigger 7, is bypassed round the side of the part 2 from the bottom surface of the part 2 and is connected to the part 15 provided on the side surface of the part 3 in the rear part. Thus as compared to conventional electrostatic airless spray painting guns, the overall length of the gun is reduced while the function of the gun barrel as an insulator is maintained.
