Abstract: A powdered product is packed in bags made from plastics film which is water soluble. The bags are made from two strips of plastic film which are unwound from a roll (1). The film (7) passes around the periphery of a rotating cylinder (4) where the two strips are bonded together by transverse seams (3) formed by a heat sealing device. The strip (7) then passes between two rollers (5) which seal the edges on one side of the double strip to form a continuous line of bags which are subsequently filled with powder. The water soluable bags enable the exact amount of washing powder to be used. USE - Packing of powder such as washing powder in required quantity.
