Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aerosol cosmetic whose direct shot to user's skin and head skin is allowable, which has a massage effect due to a suitable level of stimulation, and which causes little liquid dripping.
SOLUTION: The aerosol cosmetic consists of an aerosol device, to which a button having an intermittent injection mechanism is mounted, and a cosmetic raw liquid and a propellant, both being packed in a pressure-resistant container of the aerosol device. A dioxide gas is used as the propellant. In the case where the button of the aerosol device has the intermittent injection mechanism, the amount of injection is adjusted to 3-16 g/10 seconds. Further, a stem hole diameter of the aerosol device is made 0.3-0.5 mm, and the frequency of intermittent injection is set 5-40 times/second.

CONSTITUTION: This novel flavanonol ether is represented by formula I [R and R are each an alkyl, preferably a 1-16C alkyl; R are H, an alkyl, preferably a 1-16C alkyl), for example, cis- or trans-3-methoxy-3-methylflavanone. The compound of formula I is obtained by, for example, reaction of an O- hydroxyalkanoylphenone of formula II with a benzaldehyde of formula III to a flavanone of formula IV, treating the flavanone with an oxidizing agent to flavanonol of formula V and an alkylating agent is allowed to act on the flavanonol to give this flavanonol ether. The above 3-methoxy-3-methylflavanone is obtained from 2'-hydroxypropiophenone and benzaldehyde.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain a hair tonic having excellent hair-nourishing activity to various alopecia independent of symptom or individual difference by including a glyceryl etherified polyhydric alcohol. Otherwise, the hair tonic may be jointly used with a hematogenic accelerator, an antibacterial agent, a cuticle-dissolving agent, an anti-seborrhea agent, a local stimulating agent, an anti-inflammatory agent, a humectant, an anti-androgenic hormone agent or a hair follicle activator, etc., in an amount of 0.001-5wt.% for enhancing the hair-nourishing effect. Furthermore, the objective cosmetic is suitably mixed with an additive used in an usual cosmetic and mainly prepared in a formulation of lotion. A formulation of cream or gel is also possible. A liquid agent is preferably mixed with a carbon dioxide gas and adjusted to pH4.5-6.5.

The resultant hair growth agent has the above-mentioned effects. Furthermore, the dosage form is not especially limited if the hair growth agent is used as a medicine for external use. The dosage form is preferably a liniment such as an ointment, a lotion, a tonic, a spray, a suspension or an emulsion.
