    Abstract: A phosphoric monoester of an organic hydroxy compound can be produced in a high concentration in accordance with a two-step reaction. In a first step, the organic hydroxy compound is esterified in the presence of an excess amount of one or more phosphorylating agents selected from the group consisting of phosphorus pentoxide, phosphoric acid and polyphosphoric acids. A further portion of the same organic hydroxy compound is added, in a second step, to the reaction mixture of the first step to make the overall quantity of the organic hydroxy compound equivalent to its stoichiometric quantity.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain beddings which are antimicrobial against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus and useful for a hospital, etc., by treating a textile product with a prescribed amount of a specific antimicrobial agent composition after completing the final rinsing step. SOLUTION: A textile product is treated with an antimicrobial agent composition containing (A) a cationic surfactant-based antimicrobial agent represented by the formula (R is a 12-14C alkyl; X is an anion) such as an alkyldimethylbenzylammonium salt and (B) an antimicrobial agent composition containing a chelating agent which is ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid, citric acid, succinic acrid or Na, K or NH4 salt thereof in an amount of 0.005-0.5wt.% owf, based on the textile product to be treated and expressed in terms of the concentration of the component A to impart antimicrobial performances to the textile product. The compounding molar ratio B/A of the components B to A is preferably 0.5-5.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning method capable of satisfying high dimension stability without causing shrinking and shape losing, eliminating the damage and degradation of fibers by the entanglement and friction of clothes, sufficiently washing water soluble stains and neatly washing up laundry further by suppressing not only the mechanical deformation of the laundry of wool or the like but also vibration. SOLUTION: To a receiving part 21 rotationally driven around a vertical shaft and arranged at a position separated from a rotary shaft in a radial direction, the laundry 24 held in a hung state is pressed by centrifugal force. By tilting the receiving part 21 to a vertical direction so as to be separated from the rotary shaft as approaching a lower part, tension is made to act on the laundry 24 by the centrifugal force. Washing liquid is supplied to the laundry pressed to the receiving part 21 and the washing liquid is discharged from the lower end side of the receiving part 21.
