    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain superior sensitivity and durability by using a specified bisazo pigment as an electric charge generating material. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive body is provided on a conductive substrate with the photosensitive layer containing as the charge generating material at least one of the bisazo pigments represented by formula I in which A is represented by formula II and the like; Cp is a coupler residue represented by formula III and the like; and each of R1 and R2 is optionally substituted alkyl, aryl, or aralkyl.
