Abstract:
An oil-soluble dye prepared by subjecting a water-soluble dye having at least one group selected from the group consisting of sulfonate group and carboxyl group in its molecule to amidation; a water-based ink comprising the oil-soluble dye; and a process for preparing an oil-soluble dye, comprising halogenating a water-soluble dye having at least one group selected from the group consisting of sulfonate group and carboxyl group in its molecule, and thereafter subjecting the resulting halogenated water-soluble dye to amidation. The Oil-soluble dye of the present invention can be suitably and favorably used for inks for inkjet recording, inks for ball-points pens, inks for markers, toners, paints such as lacquers, inks for felt pens, and the like.

A water-based ink containing an aqueous dispersion of water-insoluble vinyl polymer particles containing a pigment, wherein the water-insoluble vinyl polymer is obtainable by copolymerizing a monomer mixture containing (a) a monomer having a salt-forming group, (b) a monomer having a long-chain alkyl group having 18 to 30 carbon atoms, (c) a macromer, (d) a monomer having a polyoxyalkylene group, and (e) a monomer copolymerizable with the monomer having a salt-forming group (a), the monomer having a long-chain alkyl group (b), the macromer (c) and the monomer having a polyoxyalkylene group (d). The water-based ink can be suitably used, for instance, as a water-based ink for inkjet recording and the like.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a pigment water dispersion, which reduces the particle diameter of pigment during pigment dispersion and provides a printed matter having an excellent color tone. SOLUTION: The method for producing a pigment water dispersion for inkjet recording comprises mixing an emulsified composition containing an acidic group-containing water-insoluble polymer, an organic solvent having a solubility of ≥1 part wt. in 100 parts wt. of water at 20°C, a basic compound and water with azo-based yellow pigment, dispersing the obtained mixture and removing the organic solvent. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a compound which exhibits a high thickening effect, has a good feeling of use when used in a cosmetic or toiletries and is excellent in viscosity enhancement and emulsion stability. SOLUTION: The disilane compound is prepared by combining an alkoxysilyl group to both ends of a mono- or polyaminoacid having a structure (1) (wherein, R 1 , R 2 and R 3 are each H, a 1-22C alkyl or the like; n is a number of 1-10,000) via a divalent hydrocarbon group which may contain a heteroatom. A polymer obtained by condensing the disilane compound in the presence or nonpresence of an alkoxysilane after hydrolysis, a viscosity enhancer comprising the polymer and a cosmetic containing the viscosity enhancer are also provided. CONSTITUTION: In a process for producing a highly water-absorbing polymer by polymerizing a water-sol. vinyl monomer, the polymn. is conducted in the presence of at least one chelate compd. of which the solubility of a Cu salt in a physiological salt soln. at 2 deg.C is 0.01wt.% or lower.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing a carboxymethylcellulose having high aqueous solution viscosity.SOLUTION: The method of producing the carboxymethylcellulose includes: mixing a cellulose having a polymerization degree of ≥1,000 with an alkaline agent and a mono haloacetic acid or its salt; and thereafter heating the mixture at 40-90°C for reaction. The amount of hydrophilic organic solvent in a chemical reaction is 200 pts.wt. or lower based on 100 pts.wt. of the cellulose.

SOLUTION: The emulsifying agent is composed of a polyamino acid graft copolymer having the polymer unit (1) [X is a 1-22C alkylene or the like; Y is a group of formula (3), (4) or (5); R , R , R , R , R and R are each H, a 1-22C alkyl or the like; R is H, a 1-22C alkyl or the like; R is a 1-22C alkyl having anionic group; Z is an anion; (p) is 0 or 1; and (n) is 1-500] and the polymer unit (2) (R is H or CH3 ; and R is a 1-22C alkyl or the like).
