Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To let a consumer know the proper way of hair care and the performances of recommended shampoo products, styling products and hair dyes based on the results of diagnosing the hair by carrying out a comprehensive hair diagnosis based on textures of the hairs and analysis on cuticle, cortex and medullar. SOLUTION: In addition to an image of the hair with a microscope, the gloss and the hue of the hair are taken in and the state of the medullar, cuticle and cortex of the hair are observed based on all the data. Besides, data by oral examination is combined to carry out a comprehensive evaluation. Moreover, a data base is provided to accumulate previous observation data and other useful data to be used for the evaluation of the hair.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a detergent composition which has a low viscosity, excellent foam quality and high detergency, and can be used in less quantity by using a specified salt of a sulfuric ester or a glycolic acid N-alkylamide in combination with another surfactant as needed. SOLUTION: The salt of a sulfuric ester of a glycolic acid N-alkylamide used is represented by formula I: R R NCOCH2 OSO3 M [wherein R is a 6-22C alkyl or alkenyl; R is a 1-22C alkyl, alkenyl or H; and M is H, an alkali (alkaline earth) metal, NH4 , a 1-22C alkylammonium, a 1-18C alkyl-or alkenyl- substituted pyridinium, or basic amino acid], preferably CH3 (CH2 ) NHCOCH2 OSO3 Na in particular. The surfactant used together preferably comprises an anionic surfactant, with the ratio of the surfactant to the salt being (1:8) to (8:1). The total content of surfactants is 30-80wt.%. This detergent composition has a viscosity (30 deg.C) of preferably 100-3,000cP, a foam quality (modulus of elasticity) of at most 200dyne/cm and a detergency of at least 90%.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a hair-care cosmetics capable of giving the hair a natural gloss which can be kept without ready reduction by shampooing, etc., and free from damage to touch of the hair. CONSTITUTION:A hair-care cosmetics composed of the first agent containing 0.01-2M, especially 0.05-1M metal ion capable of forming a sparingly water-soluble salt by reaction with fluoride ion, e.g. aluminum ion, magnesium ion or lithium ion preferably in the form of a metal oxide and the second agent containing 0.01-3 M, especially 0.05-1M fluoride ion preferably in the form of an alkali metal salt is produced. Both the first agent and the second agent are preferably aqueous solutions and can be blended with a solvent such as an alcohol or a reducing agent, etc. If the hair is treated with the hair-care cosmetics in this invention, a durable natural gloss can be given to the hair without damage to the hair.

CONSTITUTION:An superfine metal particle dispersion (there are gold, silver, copper, titanium, nickel or magnesium as a metal element and a solvent having a relatively wide dielectric constant range such as ethanol, methanol, acetone or ether is adapted to the dispersion) is irradiated with visible light having a wavelength of 400-800nm and irradiation energy density of 10-500W/cm and subsequently or simultaneously irradiated with ultraviolet rays having a wavelength of 200-400nm to aggregate superfine metal particles and separated into fine metal particles and a separated liquid. The superfine metal particle dispersion is prepared using an evaporation-in-gas method and a solution trapping method. By this method, an excellent separated liquid and fine metal particles containing no impurities are obtained.
