Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for enhancing a chroma of hair, capable of allowing an inherent color of hair, a dull color of damaged hair or a color of hair dyed by coloring to look clearer or more vivid, or maintaining a clearness of the color of hair.
SOLUTION: The method for enhancing a chroma of hair comprises shampooing the hair with an aqueous shampoo containing (A) 5-20 wt.% of an anionic surfactant, (B) 0.1-5 wt.% of a water-insoluble modified silicone containing an amino group or a quaternary ammonium group in the molecule and (C) a water-soluble salt in an amount to make the component (B) in a solubilized state, then applying an aqueous conditioner having the molar ratio of a 12-28C higher alcohol to a cationic surfactant of 1:1-10:1 to the shampooed hair and treating the hair with a rinse.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide a material with excellent effect of reducing the friction resistance which can be easily manufactured by applying the water paint containing wax, grease, or the mixture thereof having the melting point over the temperature of the environment in which the material is used on the surface of the solid base to be used for the surface in contact with the fluid. CONSTITUTION: Alkyl ketene dimer of four gram is mixed with the alkyd resin paint of 20g, and heated up to 50 deg.C and stirred. The temperature of the mixture is returned to the room temperature after one hour, the mixture is applied by a brush to the surface of a bottom 4 and a side 3 of a small model ship 1 made of slide glass and plastics, and dried. The angle of contact of water on the paint applied to the slide glass is 150 deg. to obtain excellent water repellence. The speed of the model ship 1 is larger than that of the ship on which the paint without any alkyl ketene dimer being mixed. Excellent effect of reducing the friction resistance can be obtained.

The reactor 4 is heated to 50-700 deg.C to convert the oxygen in the chamber 2 to oxygen ion, the ion is passed through the solid electrolyte 1 and converted to an active oxygen species which is supplied to the chamber 3, hence the reaction substrate in the chamber 3 easily reacts with the species in the absence of catalyst and electrode, and the gaseous, liq. or solid reaction substrate consisting of various compds. is oxidized with this simple device.

SOLUTION: A fin for a heat exchanger is provided with a surface, having a fine irregularity structure whose all or a part of metallic surface is coated with a hydrophilic substance, and the height of the irregularity structure is lower than 300μm and the actual surface area per 1cm of the same structure in a plan view is winder than 2cm while the surface is provided with a surface- treated metal, having a contacting area of 0.3cm or less per 1cm of rigid body surface when a flat rigid body is contacted with the surface of the irregularity structure. According to this method, the fin is excellent in the hydrophilic property of the surface thereof and the flow down of condensed water can be promoted.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To drastically lower the friction resistance that a metallic surface receives from liquid by coating the metallic surface, which has a fine rugged structure on the surface and has a contact angle with water of a specific value, with a liquid repulsive material. SOLUTION: The surface of a metallic material having the contact angle with water of in plane view is specified to >=3 to . The contact area when a smooth rigid body on the surface of the rugged structure is specified to per 1cm rigid body surface. The metallic surface coated with the liquid repulsive material has the contact angle with liquid larger than 90 deg.. An air layer is formed between the metallic surface and the liquid on account of the high liquid repulsive property of the metallic surface. Then, the metallic surface directly receives the friction resistance by air. Since the viscosity of the air is much smaller than that of the liquid, the friction resistance that the metallic surface receives is lowered.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide a substrate surface with a highly water-repelling property economically and simply by precipitating crystalline of a wax or an oil and fat which has higher melting point than the temperature of the environments where the substrate is used on the surface of the substrate. CONSTITUTION: A water-repelling property-imparting method to be applied for rain outfits, etc., involves heating a substrate to the temperature close to the melting point of a wax or an oil and fat and applying the wax or the oil and fat to the surface of the substrate. The method further involves cooling the substrate to room temperature to precipitate crystalline on the surface of the substrate and, if necessary, keeping the substrate at a prescribed temperature for a prescribed period to provide water repelling surface. In the case where triglyceride is for example used as the oil and fat, an excellent water-repelling surface can be obtained by keeping the substrate at about 40 deg.C for two weeks. Or, the or oil and fat is dissolved in an organic solvent and after the obtained solution is applied to the surface of a substrate, the substrate is kept at the temperature at which the organic solvent volatilizes to precipitate crystalline on the surface of the substrate and, if necessary, the substrate is kept at a prescribed temperature for a prescribed period to provide the surface having a water repelling property.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of NOx treatment in the presence of oxygen by a solid electrolyte by covering both the surfaces of a specified solid electrolyte with electrode materials, applying voltage between electrodes or shortcircuiting between electrodes and feeding oxygen and organic compound contg. gas to be treated to one side and to the other side of the solid electrolyte respectively. CONSTITUTION:Both the surfaces of a solid electrolyte 1 having the property of converting oxygen into oxide ions, the property of allowing oxide ions to permeate and the property of converting oxide ions into active oxygen species are covered with electrode materials and voltage is applied to between electrodes 4 by a power unit 5 or a short circuit is made between electrodes 4. And oxygen is fed to the surface of a cathode 4 on the oxygen feed chamber 2 side of the solid electrolyte 1 and simultaneously NOx and organic compounds contg. gas to be treated is fed to the surface of an anode 4 on the reaction chamber 3 side or to its vicinity. Consequently, the organic compounds are oxidized by active oxygen species generated on the gas to be treated feed side and NOx is reduced by reducing action of the formed oxide.
