    Abstract: PURPOSE:To oxidize gaseous phase, liquid phase and solid phase materials at a reaction temp. at which control is easy by isolating a site where active oxygen species are formed and a reaction site. CONSTITUTION:Both surfaces of a solid-state electrolyte having specific properties are coated with electrode materials and while a voltage is impressed between the electrodes or the electrodes are shorted from each other, oxygen is supplied to one side of the solid-state electrolyte and the active oxygen species are formed on the other side. Simultaneously, a carrier gas is supplied to the other side to move the formed active oxygen species to the reaction site where a reaction substrate exists. The reaction substrate is oxidized by the active oxygen species at this reaction site. As a result, the materials exhibiting the gaseous phase, the liquid phase and the solid phase are oxidized by the method which facilitates the control of the reaction temp. and lessens the decomposition of reaction materials and the formation of side-products.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To ionize oxygen, to pass the ionized oxygen through a solid electrolyte, to convert the ionized oxygen to an active oxygen species and to easily oxidize the reaction substrate. CONSTITUTION:A reactor 4 is divided into an oxygen supply chamber 2 and an oxidation reaction chamber 3 by a solid electrolyte 1 consisting of a fluorite- structure metal oxide such as ZrO2 contg. a solid soln. of Y2O3. Gaseous oxygen is supplied to the chamber 2, and a reaction substrate by a compd. consisting of a gas, a liq. or a fine-powder solid is supplied to the chamber 3. The reactor 4 is heated to 50-700 deg.C to convert the oxygen in the chamber 2 to oxygen ion, the ion is passed through the solid electrolyte 1 and converted to an active oxygen species which is supplied to the chamber 3, hence the reaction substrate in the chamber 3 easily reacts with the species in the absence of catalyst and electrode, and the gaseous, liq. or solid reaction substrate consisting of various compds. is oxidized with this simple device.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To keep quality of high conc. slurry spray dried product such as a powdered soap in constant even at the change of environmental conditions, by measuring a temp. of the spray dried material and controlling a temp. of the drying hot air by calculation with a specific equation base on the measured temp. CONSTITUTION:In the Fig.1 is a drying tower, 1A is a spray nozzle, 1B is nozzle of hot air which is supplied from a blower 3, 4 is a control valve of heavy oil, 5 is a combustion furnace, 6A is a temp. sensor of the hot air. The temp. of the spray dried material at the lower part of the tower 1 is measured by sensor 8, and a program arithmetic circuit 24 calculates the specific equation based on the measured value of the sensor 8, the control valve 4 of heavy oil is automatically operated for controlling the temp. of the hot air. The specific equation is as follow: S'=S-(T-Tm)alpha, wherein S': optimum setting temp. of hot air, S: set temp. of the hot air, T: set temp. of the spray dried material, Tm: instantaneously averaged temp. of the spray dried material measured for prescribed period just before, alpha: correction factor.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic sensitive body having good picture image characteristics without having reduction of resolution or defects in images and having an intermediate layer which has good productivity and can be produced at a low cost, by incorporating a spherical conductive inorg. powder into the intermediate layer. CONSTITUTION:An intermediate layer and a photosensitive layer are successively formed on a conductive base body. The intermediate layer contains a spherical conductive inorg. powder. Since particles of the inorg. powder are spherical, these particles have weak cohesive force and higher dispersibility so that a uniform coating liquid for an intermediate layer is obtd. The particle of the spherical conductive inorg. powder has a multilayer structure and contains a hollow aluminum oxide as at least the core material. Since the aluminum oxide as the core has a hollow structure, the obtd. conductive inorg. powder has small bulk density (preferably ), and thereby, the coating liquid for the intermediate layer containing this powder has excellent dispersion stability.
