    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve a heat transfer rate of a heating medium and a heat accumulation medium, prevent a supercooling phenomenon and contrive a reduction of production cost further, by forming a flow through which the heat accumulation medium ascends and descends in gaps of a plurality of heat exchanger plates alternately. CONSTITUTION:The titled heat accumulator is provided with a purality of heat exchanger plates 1, 1A-1F. A heating medium led throught an opening 3 flows through a gap between the plates 1, 1A in the direction of an arrow and arrives at a lower opening 5. Then as for the plates 1A, 1B, shapes of the tops and the bottoms of their divided wall surfaces are reversed as shown by the plates 1A, 1B. Then the heating medium streamed out through an opening 5A of the plate 1A arrives at a gap between the plates 1B, 1C and ascends throught the gap in the direction of an arrow without flowing throught a gap between the plates 1A, 1B as a packing is being provided on a divided wall surface of the circumference of an opening 4B in the plate 1B. Then the heating medium flows similarly through a gap between the plates 1D, 1E and the similar flow is repeated in order. In other words, the heating medium flows through the gaps formed by the plates by turning the same into the ascending and decending flows alternately.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To fabricate latent-heat thermal accumulator type heat exchangers having easily adjustable heat-exchange capacity, by providing fluid passage between laminated holders in which latent-heat type thermal accumulating material is encased. CONSTITUTION:Thermal accumulating material is filled through an intake 15 into a flat, hollow holder 10 which is formed by two rectangular plates 13. A fluid passage 12 is formed on the surface of the holder 10. The holders 10 are assembled into laminated structure with packings 18 interlaid so that fluid passages 12 are formed between the holders respectively. Heating fluid inputted through a liquid port 16 comes out of a liquid port 17 through a fluid passage 12 to effect heat exchange, and thermal accumulating material is then liquefied. In such a setup, a holder 10 functions as an individual unit so that adjustment of heat-exchange capacity can easily be made by varying freely numbers and spacing of the holder units 10, whereby flexibility of applicatins of the heat exchangers can be increased.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the coefficient of heat transfer, to reduce the sectional area of heat transfer surface and to miniaturize the titled heat exchanger by a method wherein a single reticulated member or a layer of such members having a suitable thickness is inserted into an annular clearance between an inner pipe and an outer pipe of the heat exchanger. CONSTITUTION:A heat exchanger has a wire netting 4 (as the reticulated member) inserted into the annular clearance 3 formed between an inner pipe 2 and an outer pipe 1. In this case, the wire netting 4 may be inserted into the annular clearance 3 singly or in layers. Consequently, a fluid flowing through the annular clearance 3 in the direction of the arrow B meanders through the gaps among the wires of the wire netting 4 so that violent turbulences are generated in the fluid and the heat transfer coefficient of the fluid is imporved thereby. Further, due to the existence of the wire netting 4, the heat transfer coefficient of the inner pipe 2 is improved to a remarkable degree, the heat exchanger can be miniaturized and the heat transfer efficiency of the heat exchanger can be improved to thereby contribute effectively to the saving of energy and its resources.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To raise the heat transmission coefficient between liquid film and a metal net by a method in which the metal net is wound around a heating pipe, the liquid film is uniformly held on the up and down sides of the surface of the heating pipe in such a way as to control the thickness and stagnating time of the liquid film. CONSTITUTION:A metal net 11 is wound around the middle portion of the outer surface, corresponding to a heating part 10, of a heating pipe in a manner than a metal net with an optimally sized metal wire, selected on the basis of the property of fluid and working temerature, is wound into one or more turns, or two turns on the upper half portion and one turn on the lower half, and the initial and last ends of the metal net so wound are spot-welded into one cylinder, whereby liquid films 12 on the upper and lower sides can be uniformly held. Thus, the liquid film 12 is wholly spread in the longitudinal direction of the heating pipe, resulting in the effective utilization of the whole length of the heating pipe. Also, the liquid film 12 formed on the surface can be held between the metal net 11 and the heating part 10 and on the wires of the metal net 11 by means of surface tension, etc., and the thickness of the liquid film 12 can therefore be made uniform even on the upper and lower portions of the pipe surface.
