Abstract: The invention relates to an elevator having a safety controller (10) to which several safety switch arrangements (20-28) are connected, which safety controller is configured to cause the stop of the elevator motor (14) and the activation of the motor brakes (16), in the safety controller (10) a comparator (32) is provided for the determination of the status of the safety chain, which comparator is connected with a memory (34) for storing at least one resistor reference value, which comparator is configured to output a safety chain status signal in dependence of comparison of a measured resistance value with the resistor reference value. Each of said safety switch arrangements comprises at least one first resistor (38) and a safety switch (36) which are connected in series, the value of the first resistor (38) is different in at least some safety switch arrangements (20-28), preferably in all safety switch arrangements, and each safety switch arrangement (20-28) comprises at least a second resistor (40) connected in parallel with the safety switch (36), which second resistor has a higher value than the first resistor (38). The invention allows the detection of a short circuit as well as of the opening of a safety switch arrangement.

Abstract: Sistema de ascensor, que comprende medios (4, 17) para establecer el modo operativo del sistema de ascensor; cuyo sistema de ascensor comprende un aparato (1) de alimentación de electricidad que está adaptado para alimentar electricidad a uno o más dispositivos (2, 3, 4, 5, 6) en el sistema de ascensor; por lo que un valor mínimo permitido (7a) de la tensión de alimentación con el que el dispositivo aún funciona es determinado para uno o más dispositivos (2, 3, 4, 5, 6) del sistema de ascensor; y por lo que el aparato (1) de alimentación de electricidad está configurado para cambiar la tensión de alimentación (8) de uno o más dispositivos (2, 3, 4, 5, 6) del sistema de ascensor hacia el valor mínimo permitido (7a) de la tensión de alimentación para limitar el consumo eléctrico del sistema de ascensor; y por lo que el aparato (1) de alimentación de electricidad está dispuesto en un cierto modo operativo del sistema de ascensor para cambiar la tensión de alimentación (8) de uno o más dispositivos (2, 3, 4, 5, 6) del sistema de ascensor hacia el valor mínimo permitido (7a) de la tensión de alimentación para limitar el consumo eléctrico del sistema de ascensor, en que el aparato (1) de alimentación de electricidad está durante el modo de espera del ascensor previsto para cambiar la tensión de alimentación (8) de uno o más dispositivos (2, 3, 4, 5, 6) del sistema de ascensor hacia el valor mínimo permitido (7a) de la tensión de alimentación para limitar el consumo eléctrico del sistema de ascensor.
