    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple method for producing a lysine ester triisocyanate free from discoloration. SOLUTION: This method for producing a lysine ester triisocyanate of general formula (II) (R is an alkylene) by reacting a triamine of general formula (I) or its salt with phosgene, comprises a process for bringing a mixture containing the lysine ester triisocyanate represented by general formula (II) obtained by reacting the triamine represented by general formula (I) or its salt with phosgene into contact with activated carbon or a metal halide and distilling the mixture.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultraviolet-curing cross-linker which contains a compd. having two 5-member-cyclic dithiocarbonate groups and obtd. by reacting a corresponding oxirane compd. with carbon disulfide and which is useful for coating materials, adhesives, and ink. SOLUTION: This cross-linker contains a compd. having two 5-member-cyclic dithiocarbonate groups represented by the formula (wherein R1 and R2 are each a lower alkyl group provided they may combine with each other to form a satd. hydrocarbon ring). This compd. is obtd. by reacting a polyhydroxy compd., such as a polyhydric phenol (e.g. bisphenol A) or a low-mol.-wt. alcohol (e.g. glycerin), with epichlorohydrin and reacting the resultant oxirane compd., such as a polyvalent glycidyl ether or glycidyl methacrylate, with carbon disulfide in the presence of LiBr, etc. An acrylic monomer having a 5-member-cyclic dithiocarbonate group can form a copolymer with other copolymerizable monomers. This cross-linker is used jointly with a photosensitizer, a pigment, a thickener, etc., in accordance with the purpose.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cycloalkyldiaryphosphine in which the 2-position of a cycloalkyl is substituted with an alkyl by an industrially readily handleable method in a short process in a high yield by reacting a lithium diaryl phosphide with a cycloalkylsulfonate in an ether-based solvent. SOLUTION: A lithium diaryl phosphide of the formula LiPR1R2 (R1 and R2 are each a substituted or nonsubstituted aryl) is reacted with a cycloalkylsulfonate of the formula: R3OSO2R4 (R3 is a cycloalkyl substituted with an alkyl at the 2-position; R4 is a lower alkyl or phenyl substituted with a lower alkyl) in an ether-based solvent (a cyclic alkyl monoether preferably such as tetrahydrofuran, etc.), to give the objective compound of the formula. Preferably lithium diphenyl phosphide is reacted with menthyl mesylate or menthyl tosylate to give d-neomenthyldiphenylphosphine. The reaction temperature is preferably 25-35 deg.C.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject copolymer having a rapid hardening rate, manifesting high hardness, water resistance, chemical resistance or the like and useful for uses such as a coating material by allowing the copolymer to include a specified 5-membered cyclic dithiocarbonate group and a specific group. SOLUTION: The objective copolymer contains a 5-membered cyclic dithiocarbonate group of formula I (R to R are each H or a lower alkyl) and a group of formula II (R to R are each H, an alkyl, an aralkyl, a halogen, an alkoxy, an amino or the like). The copolymer is obtained, for example, by copolymerizing (A) 0.1-50 wt.% vinyl-based monomer having the group of formula I, (B) 0.1-30 wt.% vinyl-based monomer having the group of formula II and (C) a vinyl-based monomer copolymerizable with these monomers. The component A is preferably a monomer of formula III [R is H, methy] or ethyl; (n) is 1-6]. Preferably, γ-methacryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane or the like is used as the component B.

SOLUTION: This blocked isocyanate compd. is represented by the formula (wherein R , R , and R are each independently a residue of an active hydrogen compd.), is prepd. by using lysine aminoethyl ester triisocyanate as the aliph. triisocyanate compd. to be blocked, and is deblocked to regenerate isocyanate groups at a temp. lower than that required in deblockng other blocked isocyanate compds. which are prepd. by blockng other isocyanate compds., such as hexamethylene diisocyanate, isophorone diisocyanate, and polyisocyanurate compds. prepd. from these isocyanate compds., with the same blockng agent as the one used in preparing the blocked isocyanate compd. of the invention. Examples of the active hydrogen compd. used as the blocking agent are alcohols, phenols, thiols, amides, amines, imines, imides, ureas and oximes.
