    Abstract: PURPOSE:To measure the transparency of a sample such as human skin, whose transmittance cannot be measured as a matter of fact, highly accurately, by constituting an apparatus with a light source part, a light receiving part, a light screening part, a cover plate and a light measuring device, and transmitting the light. CONSTITUTION:The basic structure of a measuring apparatus is composed of the following parts: a cylindrical light screening body 1; a light source part 2, which is provided at the upper part of a light screening body 2; a light receiving part 3; a circular cover plate 4, which is provided at an opening part at the lower end of the light screening body 1; and a light measuring device, which is linked to the light receiving part 3. Light is projected on a sample from the light source part 2 and reflected from the sample at a position (the position of a small opening part 6 when the cover plate 4 is attached) corresponding to the light receiving part 3. The light receiving part 3 receives the reflected light. The reflected light, which is received with the light receiving part 3, is measured with the light measuring device, which is linked to the light receiving part 3. Thus the reflectivity of the reflected light from the sample is measured.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable the formation of a thin film whose sharpness in a prescribed wavelength region lowers selectively by specifying the optical path difference between the filler-contg. part of a thin film formed with a composition can be filler-free part. CONSTITUTION:A transparent filler 2 such as SiO2 is dispersed in a soln. of a transparent org. polymer such as acrylic resin or in transparent oil 1 such as octyldodecyl myristate. The polymer or oil 1 and the filler 2 are selected to as to satisfy formula I when a thin film is formed on a light transmitting substrate 3 and to satisfy formula II when a thin film is formed on a light reflecting substrate 3. In the formulae I, II, lambda is a prescribed wavelength, Nor is the refractive index of a thin film formed with the polymer or oil 1, Nair is the refractive index of air, Nce is the refractive index of the filler 2, d1 is the thickness of the polymer or oil 1 on the filler 2, d2 is the diameter of the filler 2 and m=1-4.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To measure a surface active agent in high accuracy and in a short time deciding the end point easily, by using a porous membrane being capable of extracting, an organic solvent phase only, from an emulsion system with a constant condition. CONSTITUTION:A liquid to be titrated 4 is put in a receptacle for a liquid to be titrated 1 and a stirring blade 3 is rotated by a magnetic stirrer 2 and also, an organic solvent phase extraction part 10 is immersed in the liquid 4 and then, only the organic solvent phase is separated continuously passing said phase through a porous thin film 13 by a microtube pump 7. Separated phase is introduced into a spectrophotometer 5 and the absorbance of the organic solvent phase is measured. On this occasion, a titration burette 20 is controlled by a titration control device 21 recording the titration curve. A porous thin film made of fluororesin such as polyfluoroethylene resin, polyfluoropropylene resin is suitable and its pore diameter is 10-100mu.
