A quick coupling furniture hinge for a quick arrangement of a door of a furniture element onto a base furniture element, wherein the hinge comprises a hinge pot arranged in the furniture door and a hinge arm pivotably fastened thereon. The hinge arm is provided with a mounting assembly fixed in the hinge arm, via which mounting assembly the hinge arm is fastened to a base mounting panel that is fixed on the base furniture element, so that the pivotable assemblies co-operate independently from each other with each complementarily shaped element arranged on the base mounting panel.

A furniture hinge with equipment comprises a toggle-type hinge (H) and a shock absorber (B). The latter is either a rotary (a first approach) or a line (a second approach) shock absorber. Irrespective of the approach, said shock absorber (B) is arranged transversely to a major longitudinal axis of the toggle-type hinge (H) and bound to a hinge pot. Thus, the invention concerns a new use of a rotary shock absorber, a new incorporation of a line shock absorber into a toggle-type furniture hinge, and a new combination of said toggle-type hinge and said rotary and line shock absorbers, respectively, said combination concerning the above two objects.

A fastening element (20) is provided for use with a tightening element (14) in a device for forming a joint between two panels (18,22). The fastening element is elongate and has a head (13) at one end for engaging the tightening element, an expander (15) at the other end and a shank (11) extending there between. The fastening element further comprises a sleeve (10) having an expandable section (16) at one end extending over the expander, with the expander operatively engaging the sleeve to cause outward movement of its expandable section upon axial displacement of the fastening element relative to the sleeve. The sleeve is provided with at least one outwardly facing cutting edge (19) on its expandable section. The cutting edge has sufficient strength to cut into the panel material in use of the device, when the expandable section is inserted into a face hole in a first one of the panels.

A damper assembly for a hinge comprises a damping device 10 with a piston arranged to be movable within a cylinder 15 containing damping fluid, a retainer 11, 12 for mounting the device and a mechanism 18, 19 for converting rotational movement of the hinge into relative movement of the piston and the cylinder. The piston may be mounted on a piston rod 14 that has a free end extending out of the cylinder. The movement converting mechanism may be arranged to act on the cylinder at a position substantially outside the range of movement of the piston on its working stroke. The movement converting mechanism may include a camming surface on the cylinder. The damper may further comprise a resiliently deformable element 20 interposed in the line of the force transmitted to the damping device, and may form part of the movement converting mechanism.
