Abstract:
A laundry treating apparatus includes a cabinet, a tub, a drum, a water supply, a drain, a rotator rotatably disposed on a bottom surface of the drum, and a controller that controls rotation of the rotator. The rotator includes a bottom portion positioned on the bottom surface, a pillar protruding from the bottom portion toward an open surface, and a blade including a plurality of blades disposed to be spaced apart from each other along a circumferential direction of the pillar. The blade extends from the bottom portion toward the open surface in an inclined direction with respect to a longitudinal direction of the pillar. The rotator performs a first rotation for generating an ascending water flow and a second rotation for generating a descending water flow. The controller controls the rotator to alternately repeat the first rotation and the second rotation.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a control method of washing machine including an external tub to receive washing water, an internal tub rotatably disposed in the external tub to receive foams, and a motor to rotate the internal tub. The control method of the washing machine includes a water supply step of supplying washing water to the external tub and a change step of sequentially increasing or reducing target speed of the motor.
Abstract:
A laundry treating apparatus includes a drum and a rotator. The rotator includes a bottom portion positioned on a bottom surface of the drum, and a pillar protruding upward from the bottom portion and having a blade disposed on an outer circumferential surface thereof. A controller controls a driver such that the rotator performs an ascending and descending motion for forming an ascending water flow or a descending water flow at least once in a washing cycle of laundry. The controller performs a method for controlling the laundry treating apparatus and controls the driver such that a rotation in one direction and a rotation in the other direction of the rotator are performed by different amounts of rotation in the ascending and descending motion.
Abstract:
Disclosed are a laundry treating apparatus and a method for controlling the same. The laundry treating apparatus includes a cabinet, a tub for providing therein a space for water to be stored, a drum rotatably disposed inside the tub, wherein the drum includes an open surface for inserting and withdrawing clothes therethrough and a bottom surface located on an opposite side of the open surface, a rotator rotatably installed on the bottom surface and inside the drum, a driver including a motor for driving the drum and the rotator, and a controller that controls an operation of the driver, and the rotator includes a bottom portion positioned on the bottom surface, a pillar protruding from the bottom portion toward the open surface, and a plurality of blades disposed to be spaced apart from each other along a circumferential direction of the pillar, wherein the blade extends from the bottom surface to the open surface along a direction inclined with respect to a longitudinal direction of the pillar. The method includes a dry cloth sensing operation of sensing an amount of cloth put into the drum, a wet cloth sensing operation of sensing a washing load based on a moisture content of the cloth by injecting water into the tub, and a cloth material sensing operation of sensing a cloth material of the clothes put into the drum based on a rpm gap and a motor-constrained state where rotation of the motor is restricted, wherein the rpm gap is a difference between a target rpm of the rotator and a following rpm at which the rotator is actually rotated.
Abstract:
Washing machine control method including an outer tub and an inner tub containing clothes rotatably disposed therein. The method includes detecting an amount of dry clothes, supplying water between the outer and inner tub such that the clothes are not wetted, discharging water from the outer tub to a circulation channel and introducing water into the inner tub through the circulation channel to wet the clothes, discharging unabsorbed water collected in the outer tub to the circulation channel such that a water level in the outer tub becomes zero while detecting a flow rate of water, and determining an amount of circulation water discharged to the circulation channel based on the flow rate detected until a water level in the outer tub becomes zero and determining properties of the clothes based on the amount of circulation water and a predetermined anticipated amount of circulation water corresponding to the amount of dry clothes detected.
Abstract:
A washing method according to the present invention comprises: a first rotation step for rotating an inner tub; a rotating direction detecting step for detecting the rotating direction of the inner tub; and a second rotation step for starting to rotate the inner tub in the opposite direction to the rotating direction of the inner tub when the rotation of the inner tub stops in the first rotation step. When the inner tub stops over a predetermined time and then restarts, the inner tub starts to rotate in the opposite direction to the rotating direction when the inner tub stops, thereby reducing the eccentricity of the inside of the inner tub, inhibiting collisions between the inner tub and an outer tub, reducing noise during collisions, and improving the rotation performance of the inner tub.
Abstract:
A washing machine comprises an outer tub containing water; an inner tub spinnably provided in the outer tub and containing laundry, a circulation flowpath circulating water discharged from the outer tub, a first nozzle jetting water supplied through the circulation flowpath to the inner tub, and an RPM-adjustable pump forcedly transferring water to the first nozzle through the circulation flowpath.
