    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extend a telephone call to a location base service provider which supplies the location service of a radio telephone set by deciding and using the location of the radio telephone set. SOLUTION: A mobile switching system 105 having its set connection receives a dialed number from a radio telephone set 101 and produces a call setting message to transmit it to a switching system 110. The system 110 decides whether or not the telephone number included in the received call setting message is addressed to the service of a location base. If the telephone number is addressed to the service of the location base, the location data are retrieved for the telephone set 101. Based on the retrieved location information, the telephone number of a location base service provider supplying the service to the relevant location is decided. Then a telephone call is extended to the location base service provider which supplies the service to the location of the caller.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for restricting call terminations, when a mobile unit is roaming. SOLUTION: This invention provides the method and apparatus for restricting call terminations to a roaming mobile unit. A serving MSC(mobile switching center) that is an MSC to provide call processing to a mobile unit which is not a home MSC among mobile units, sends a registration notification request to the home location register(HLR). The HLR retrieves the termination access code parameter from itself and sends the parameter to the serving MSC. The termination access code parameter includes a value that indicates if the mobile unit is allowed to accept roamer port calls. A VLR(visitor location register) associated with the serving MSC stores the parameter. When a call request comes in the serving MSC and requests a roamer port call with the mobile unit, the serving MSC checks the value of the termination restriction code to determine if the roamer port call should terminate, or complete, the call.

    Abstract: A system is provided to allow a network to obtain the location of a mobile station (e.g. mobile phone) having AGPS/AFLT CDMA capability during an emergency call -- without the use of the MPCAP parameter. The MPC invokes the PDE, which is IS-801 AGPS capable, without the MPCAP parameter. The PDE then queries the mobile for its geolocation capabilities, in the absence of the MPCAP parameter.     Abstract: The present invention provides a method and apparatus for restricting call terminations for a roaming mobile unit. A serving MSC, which is an MSC providing call processing a mobile unit that is not the home MSC of the mobile unit, sends a registration notification request to the home location register (HLR).
