Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently and flexibly multiplex both real-time service and non- real-time service on a radio data remote communication system. SOLUTION: A system for statistical multiplexing for conversation, other real-time data service, and non-real-time data service for fixed communication and one-to-many-point communication is provided. This system has high-speed access and an allocating procedure which enable the real-time multiplexing of delay-critical data service and non-real-time data service. For signal measurement reporting, channel quality feedback, and the carrying of 'pleasant' noise information, the continuity of a periodic control channel is maintained for the conversation talk spurt and voiceless period of a conversation voice.
Abstract:
The apparatus and method are fast network SIP/SDP (Session Initiation Protocol/Session Description Protocol) procedures for conference operations upon request from end user with optimization of network resources. The apparatus has an SIP/SDP based network controller that, upon a received request, joins first and second calls into a conference call with at least a third call. The SIP/SDP based network controller is structured to negotiate, allocate and re-configure network resources.

Abstract:
A method for wireless communications with mobile stations located within a femtocell is described. The method includes registering a femtocell with an IMS core network to receive IMS services for one or more mobile stations located within the femtocell, and separately registering the mobile station with an application server to provide additional services to the mobile station located within the femtocell. The additional services may be CDMA services. Also, registering the femtocell with the IMS core network may include transmitting femtocell registration information that does not include information regarding the mobile station to the IMS core network to request IMS services for the mobile station.
