Abstract: PURPOSE: To constitute the subject circuit without using a saturable transformer and a bipolar transistor. CONSTITUTION: This circuit is provided with two branch circuits a, b to be connected with a DC power source Vb and is provided with electronic switch means 3a, 3b to be connected in series with each primary winding 4a, 4b. The primary windings 4a, 4b of the branch circuits a, b include an inverter 1 which is inductively coupled with a secondary winding to be connected with a lamp L. The circuit is connected in series with an impedance 7 which is connected in series with the lamp L and changes impedance by a frequency and the lamp L. A control circuit 11 connected with resistance 9 for current detection which is connected in series with the lamp L alternately conducts the electronic switch means 3a, 3b. Thus, alternating voltage of a frequency depending on an external control signal is led to a secondary winding 5.
