Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide a control circuit capable of enhancing the safety of a vehicular gas discharge lamp by securing earth and of inhibiting the promotion of lamp ionization. CONSTITUTION: A vehicular control circuit has a voltage source B and an output stage HB having an H-bridge circuit, with a gas discharge lamp L inserted in the center of the H-bridge circuit. An intermediate stage including an inverter INV comprising a transformer T is provided between the voltage source and the output stage. The secondary winding of the transformer is in the state of being shut off from a grounding conductor GND and is connected to the outputs of rectifier circuits D2, D3. The rectifier circuits are similarly shut off from the grounding conductor. The output stage is connected to the outputs of the rectifier circuits. Since the lamp has a terminal connected to the grounding conductor, safety effects and the effect of inhibiting the promotion of lamp ionization are produced.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To reduce the dimension of the whole of a device so as to miniaturize a circuit by providing plural switching DC/DC converters, a bridge switching circuit and an electronic control unit. CONSTITUTION: A fly back DC/DC converter CC1 and a feed forward DC/DC converter CC2 are provided. Each converter CC1, CC2 has inputs 1, 2 respectively connected to a battery B for an automobile, which forms a direct current voltage source. Output of the converter CC2 is connected to an H-type bridge switching circuit HB, and the circuit HB has four MOSFET transistors M1-M4, which form a switch. An electronic control unit ECU drives each converter so that the converter CC1 is firstly operated by the generation of high voltage per each time of closing a switch of a gas discharge lamp L, and continuously, so that the converter CC2 is operated so as to generate the large power in spite of a low voltage.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To supply predetermined power, independently of ambient temperature fluctuation by monitoring the power to be supplied to a lamp, and providing a feedback circuit and an inverter so as to supply a constant power to the lamp. CONSTITUTION: A supplying device 1 is connected to a feedback circuit 5 having two input units 5a, 5b. The input unit 5a is connected to an output unit of an ignition device 3, so as to monitor the voltage to be supplied to a lamp L during lighting. The input unit 5b, to which a resistor between the lamp L and the ground is connected, monitors the current I flowing into the lamp L. A regulator 4 changes the current characteristic to be supplied to the lamp L, namely, the frequency and the current utilization factor, and sends the signal so that the predetermined power is supplied to the lamp L. With this structure, accurate power can be supplied to the lamp L.
