    Abstract: On the outer surface of the glass face panel 2 of a display device, a first layer 5 of an electrically conductive transparent thin film, a second layer 6 of another transparent thin film consisting essentially of silicon dioxide (SiO2) or magnesium fluoride (MgF2), and a third layer 7 of uneven exposed surface, are deposited, whereby a multiplicity of concave regions of said third layer 7 form an interference film together with said first 5 and second layer 6, whereas a multiplicity of convex regions of said third layer form an irregular reflection surface.

    Abstract: A pair of magnetic members (13) are provided on an outer surface of a neck tube (11) in a horizontal plane including three electron beams generated from an in-line type electron gun (12) so as to sandwich the three electron beams. The in-line electron gun (12) is enclosed in the thin cylindrical neck tube (11) extending to the rear portion of a funnel glass (9). The magnetic members (13) are disposed in an axis direction of the electron gun (12) so that at least parts thereof face each other. Providing the magnetic members (13) in this way suppresses the occurrence of the Lorentz force due to the interaction between the two outermost electron beams among the three electron beams and the external magnetic field (8) in the axis direction of the electron gun (12). Therefore, misconvergence of the electron beams caused by the Lorentz force is prevented.

    Abstract: After adhesive resin is applied to a surface of a flat panel, a front panel is glued thereto. One side of the front panel is contacted to the adhesive resin layer with the front panel tilted toward the surface of the flat panel. Then, the front panel is moved slowly to be close and parallel to the front panel. Finally, the front panel is pressed to the surface of the flat panel. Afterward, the adhesive resin is hardened. It is preferable that the thickness of the adhesive resin applied to the surface of the flat panel is decreasing from the side to which the side of the front panel is contacted, to the opposite side. By the above-mentioned method, an image display apparatus having multilayer structure comprising of a flat panel for displaying image, an adhesive resin layer and a front panel can be manufactured efficiently.

    Abstract: TITLE OF THE INVENTION: Cathode-Ray Tube Driving Apparatus A decelerating grid is interposed between grids which form a main lens and a pre-triode which comprises a cathode, a control grid and an accelerating grid and which forms a pre-focusing lens. A voltage application means applies to the decelerating grid such a voltage that only the outer electrons which defines the outer shell or envelope of an electron beam which has been subjected to the crossover in the vicinity of the pre-focusing lens and directed toward the main lens are subjected again to the crossover. The blooming due to the spherical aberration of the main lens can be reduced to a minimum and the desired diameter of the beam spot can be positively maintained even when a high beam current flows.
