Abstract: PURPOSE:To continuously cool bulb while it is moved and improve manufacturing efficiency by supporting the lower part of circular fluorescent bulb in the winding position and moving the bulb to the next position while such supporting position is maintained. CONSTITUTION:When a cylinder 5 operates and the cylinder shaft 6 moves in the direction of arrow mark (a) immediately after a bulb is formed, a lever 7 rotates about a shaft 8 and a support 9 attached to the end portion of lever 7 comes to contact with the lower end of bulb 4 to support it. Next, the bulb 4 is moved to the next position by movement of head through rotation of a disk 1. When the head and support 9 stop at the next position, the lever 7 is moved in the direction of arrow mark (e) by the movement in the direction (d) of the cylinder shaft 6a. Thereby, the support 9 is separated from the bulb 4. Simultaneously, the support 9 returns to the initial winding position by the movement of an arm 10.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To detect the leak failure of a luminous tube reliably and easily by introducing a gas into a gas type bridge circuit using the luminous tube to be checked on one side and detecting the presence of a leak of the luminous tube to be checked based on the pressure difference between connection middle points. CONSTITUTION:When a luminous tube to be checked 3 reaches the inspection position and a gas sealing nozzle 6 is connected to its fine pipe 5, a power supply 2 is operated to open a solenoid valve 1, and a gas is fed to a leak detecting device 4. If a leak is generated on the luminous tube 3, the pressure on the connection middle point (a) side is not increased sufficiently even though the gas is fed to the leak detecting device 4 through the solenoid valve 1. Therefore, the float 11 of a pressure difference detecting unit 13 continues to be located at the connection middle point (a) side, or its shift quantity is slight if it is moved, and it does not reach the connection middle point (b) side, i.e., the portion of a reed switch 12. Accordingly, the reed switch 12 is kept off, and a control device 14 can detect that the reed switch 12 is in an off state.

SOLUTION: An exhaust tube 16b on the circular glass tube 2 side is previously sealed and cut, circular glass tubes 1, 2 are arranged coaxially on the same plane with a mixing device, and proximities of the ends on non-electrode sides are bridge-jointed to form a double circular glass tube 19. In the mixing device, the circular glass tubes 1, 2 are arranged coaxially on the same plane on a predetermined horizontal table. For sealing and exhausting the double circular glass tube 19, the electrode side end of the circular glass tube 1 having an exhaust tube 16a is held by a chuck means 20, the double circular glass tube 19 is vacuum-exhausted with an exhausting device 22 in a state of hanging the double circular glass tube 19, then filler such as mercury is filled, and the exhaust tube 16a is sealed and cut.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To quickly fuse an exhaust pipe and eliminate any break of said pipe, by heating the exhaust pipe while a tensile force is applied in the direction opposing to the bulb to the upper part from the expected fusing area and then dropping the bulb together with the bulb taking out apparatus. CONSTITUTION:Upon start of heating of expected fusing area 12 of the exhaust tube 5 by the burners 8, 9, an exhaust tube stretching apparatus 6 advances in the direction A and it rotates in the direction B by about 90 degrees at the area where the end point of hook 7 is protruded from the exhaust tube, 5, and the hook 7 is hung by the upper part above the expected fusing area 12 of the exhaust tube 5. Then, said exhaust tube stretching apparatus 6 is caused to move backward in the direction C and a tensile force is applied to the exhaust tube 5 by the hook 7 in the direction opposing to the circular bulb 4 side.
