    Abstract: A method for manufacturing an anti-reflection film of a display device comprises steps of forming a first layer (2) which is an electrically-conductive thin film having a first refractive index, and which is deposited on an outer surface of a glass face panel (1), forming a second layer (3) which is a thin film having a second refractive index lower than said first refractive index, and which is deposited on an outer surface of said first layer (2), and forming a third layer (4) which is deposited on said second layer (3), and which has a large number of concave regions (6) each surrounded by convex regions (5) on an exposed surface of said display device. According to the invention said first layer (2), said second layer (3) and said third layer (4) form said antireflection film which has a luminous reflectance of 1.5% or less, and a reflectance of 3% or less between the wavelength of 436 nm and 700 nm.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably join conductive films different in specific resistance with each other by forming a second conductive film having a specific resistance lower than that of a first conductive film, from an anode button on the first conductive film to a contact portion of a first spring. SOLUTION: From an anode button 25 on a first conductive film 24 to a contact portion 31a of a first spring 31, a second conductive film 33 having a specific resistance lower than that of the first conductive film 24. In this structure, the anode button 25 and the contact portion 31a of a first spring 31 are electrically interconnected through the second conductive film 33 to provide lower resistant portion, and the anode button 25 and a contact portion 32a of a second spring 32 are electrically interconnected through the first conductive film 24 to provide a higher resistant portion. Preferably, the first conductive film 24 has specific resistance 1-3 Ωcm in consideration of reduction of maximum instant current, and the second conductive film 33 has specific resistance 0.05-0.2 Ωcm in consideration of reduction of leaked electric field. The leaked current and the maximum instant current occurring during discharge in a valve are reduced.

SOLUTION: This cathode-ray tube is provided with a surface treated film made of a reflection preventing film and a conductive film with the surface resistance value of 1×103 (Ω/(square)) or above on the surface of a glass panel 1, an earthed electrode 6 is formed on the surface treated film conductively to the conductive film, and earthed electrode 6 is conducted to a reinforcing band 7 by a conductive tape 5. The earthed electrode 6 is provided at one position at the center section of the anode terminal side on the outside of the effective screen area 9 of the glass panel 1 in a belt shape nearly in parallel with the outer edge of the glass panel 1. The contact area between the earthed electrode 6 and the conductive film is set to 500 mm2 or above, thereby the leakage electric field against the alternating electric field of the VLF band can be made 1.0 V/m or below which satisfies the TCO guide line.

Furthermore, as a third layer, a smooth and transparent low refractive index thin film 4 at 1.47 of refractive index, which is mainly composed of SiO2 , is formed at 95nm of film thickness (t3 ) on the surface of the second layer 2.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a front face panel structure having sufficient leakage field suppressing effect even with a conductive film having high resistance by forming a closed loop composed of a conductive material surrounding an efficient screen region in the front face panel, and by connecting the closed loop to a reinforced band so as to be grounded as a circuit. SOLUTION: A front face panel 1 is formed with a surface treatment film composed of a bottommost-layer conductive film and two layers of low reflecting films placed thereon on its surface and an explosion-proof metal reinforced band 7 is installed in its circumference. A conductive tape 5 made of Al is affixed into a closed loop as surrounding an effective screen region 9 on the surface of the surface treatment film and two conductive tapes 5 are independently affixed to each long sides 12 and short sides 13. The log sides 12 are conducted with the reinforcing band 7, the short sides 13 are formed by affixing the conductive tapes 5 across the both of the surface treatment film and the short sides of the reinforcing band 7, and the conducive tapes 5 are grounded through the reinforcing band 7. Even a conductive film having a resistance value 1×103 Ω/(square) or more can provide a leakage field suppression effect.
