Abstract: The present invention provides a suction muffler comprising component portions formed by injection forming a thermoplastic synthetic resin and joined to each other by induction welding, and also provides a hermetic compressor including the suction muffler. The suction muffler having this configuration is superior to conventional suction mufflers having joint portions joined by ultrasonic welding and vibration welding in the uniformity of the welding strength at the whole joint portion thereof and in minimizing the occurrence of fins.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce noise of a small-size compressor by making a bottom face of a sealed vessel spherical and increasing rigidity of the bottom face without changing the size of the compressor. SOLUTION: The entire bottom face of the sealed vessel is made spherical, and only snub bar mounting parts on the side wall are circularly extruded in a vertical direction to project, so that the entire bottom face can be made spherical with the overall height of the sealed vessel remaining unchanged, thus increasing the rigidity of the bottom face. Consequently, the noise is reduced.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To decrease operation noise by providing a cylinder head for covering a valve plate, and a suction muffler, providing an oil removing hole on the bottom surface of the suction muffler, and forming a skirt-like enclosure on the outer periphery of the bottom surface part. A suction muffler 30 to which the cylinder head 28 and a gas passage are connected is provided. Oil is prevented from being accumulated in stoppage of a compressor, oil removing holes 37 are formed on the bottom surface of the suction muffler 30, and a skirt-like enclosure 38 is provided on the outer periphery on the bottom surface of the muffler.
