Abstract: The respective evaporators have proper evaporation temperatures to improve the freezing cycle efficiency, resulting in the reduction of energy consumption. The freezer and refrigerator are provided with a compressor, a condenser, a plurality of series-connected evaporators, a refrigerant flow rate changing device, and a refrigerant, these forming a refrigerating cycle. The refrigerant flow rate changing device controls respective evaporation temperatures for the plurality of evaporators. Desirably, the freezer further includes a bypass circuit which bypasses at least one evaporator, and the refrigerant passes through the bypass circuit as needed. The refrigerant flow rate changing device controls the flow rate of the refrigerant such that the evaporation temperatures for the evaporators positioned on the upstream side of the refrigerating cycle are higher than those for the evaporators positioned on the downstream side.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To make ices having a high degree of transparency and a high degree of purity by a method wherein non-frozen water containing gaseous substance or impurities discharged as ices are progressively generated is separated. CONSTITUTION:Cold air cooled at a cooling device 8 under operation of a blower 9 is forcedly aerated onto a water surface in an ice making pan 33 and then cooled there. In concurrent with this operation, a heater A32a and a heater B32b of a metallic plate 30 are continuously operated and the metallic plate 30 is heated. It is possible to prevent a bottom part of the ice making pan 33 from being frozen. The ice is made stably from an upper part to a lower part in the pan, resulting in that gaseous substances or various impurities contained in the water are crystallized out of the ice crystals and then gradually discharged into the lower non-frozen water. Ices having a high degree of transparency and a high degree of purity are present at an upper part within each of small segments 34 of the ice making pan 33 and also the non-frozen water having a low degree of purity are present at the lower part thereof. A driving device 40 is operated and the ice making pan 33 is rotated and reversely rotated above a water splashing pan 37. The ice making pan 33 is deformed in its strain and the ices in each of the small segments 34 are dropped onto the grid-like water splashing pan 37. The ice making pan 33 is rotated and stored within a thermal insulating tank 28, the ices are dropped into an ice storing box 50 and stored there.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a refrigerator with a draw-out type door which can be used conveniently by providing a movable rail supported by a fixed rail on a side wall of a storage room and further providing a hinge connecting the door for opening the storage room with the movable rail. CONSTITUTION:If a pull 32a of a draw-out type door 32 is pulled to release a locking body 41 from a protrusion 40, the door pivots on a hinge 38 so as to open a storage room 31. Under this condition, items can be placed on a receiving plate 34 or can be taken out therefrom. When the foor is pulled furthermore, the plate 34 is drawn out of the room 31, being guided by a fixed rail 33 and a movable rail 39. As a result, the storing section of the plate 34 is opened toward the outside, so that items of various kinds can be easily stored and taken out. When the door is opened, the receiving plate can be drawn out, so that items can be easily stored in the storing room 31 and taken out, with the result that a refrigerator which can be used conveniently is provided.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain a freezing chamber at a prescribed temperature even when an ambient temperature falls by providing a duct aperture area control means for setting an air capacity to a refrigerating chamber to a prescribed quantity when a prescribed time passes after the detection of a temperature detector provided in the refrigerating chamber. SOLUTION: A duct aperture area control means 13 controls an air capacity sent to a refrigerating chamber 3 through a duct 7 to a prescribed quantity when a prescribed time passes after the detection of a temperature detector 12, A timer operates simultaneously with the detection of the temperature detector 12 and outputs after the prescribed time. A motor operates with the output of the timer 14 and is connected to a flap provided in the duct 7. Otherwise, a heater is provided in the periphery of an amorphous alloy whose shape changes at a prescribed temperature and its one end is supported in the duct 7. When the ambient temperature of a freezing refrigerator 1 is lowered. a duct aperture area control means 13 decreases the quantity of cooling to the refrigerating chamber 3 for a prescribed time, after the temperature detector 12 detects a prescribed temperature or higher and preferentially cools a freezing chamber 2.
