Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator enabling enlargement of the effective internal capacity of a refrigerating chamber and execution of uniform and efficient cooling. SOLUTION: A refrigerating chamber 37 is provided in the upper part and a freezing chamber 39 in the lower, while a cold air discharge duct 62 is provided vertically on one of the right and left sides at the back of the refrigerating chamber 31 and a cold air intake duct 67 on the other, so that a duct structure be simplified. Therefore the efficiency in capacity is improved and the internal capacity is increased. Besides, the inside of the refrigerating chamber 37 is cooled evenly by a cold air flow made to run laterally by the duct 67 and thus nonuniformity in temperature is lessened.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve rigidity of a supply air duct in vertical and lateral directions and to reduce vibration of the duct and noise of a fan lay providing ribs a cooler cover at an air duct side and bringing it into contact with air duct surface of a partition material in vertical and lateral directions. SOLUTION: In a refrigerator body 1, form heat insulator 4 is filled in a space formed of an outer case 2 and an inner case 3, and a cooler 6 and a blower 7 are disposed on a back part of a deep freezing chamber 5. Cold air formed by the cooler 6 is supplied to the chamber 5 and a cold storage chamber 9 via a supply air duct 8 constituted by a cooler cover 10 and partition material 13. In this case, upper and lower protrusion ribs 11 of vertical directions and right and left protrusion ribs 12 of lateral directions of the air duct side are provided on the cover 10, and brought into contact with the air duct surface of the material 13 in the vertical and lateral directions. Thus, since rigidities of the duct 8 in the vertical and lateral directions are improved and another component may not be added to reduce fan noise, fan noise reducing effect of the refrigerator is obtained with a low cost.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To prevent a hot plate from resonating owing to vibration of a compressor during operation by providing a stepped part over the entire width of one side which crosses a heat dissipation pipe and forms a connection part of the hot plate substantially perpendicularly to the side. CONSTITUTION: A compressor 5 is mounted and supported on a compressor mounting plate 1 by inserting an anchorage pin 4 through a hole formed in a leg 5a of the compressor and a hole 6a formed in a fixing tool 6. A hot plate 2 is connected with the compressor mounting plate 1 with screws 3, and a stepped part 10 is provided over the entire width of one side which crosses a heat dissipation pipe 3 and forms a connection part of the hot plate 2 substantially perpendicularly to the one side. Hereby, nodes and loops of lower order natural vibrations of the hot plate 2 are securely fixed, so that high rigidity of the hot plate 2 is ensured and the hot plate 2 is securely prevented from resonating owing to vibration of the compressor 1.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To ensure high rigidity of a hot plate and prevent the hot plate from resonating by providing a compressor mounting plate for supporting a compressor, and further providing a reinforcing plate in a direction substantially perpendicular to one side of the hot plate that forms a connection part connected with the compressor mounting plate. CONSTITUTION:A vibration damping structure is formed with a compressor mounting plate 1 for supporting a compressor 5, a hot plate 2 including a connection part formed on one side thereof for connection to the compressor mounting plate 1, and a reinforcing plate 9 that extends in a direction substantially perpendicular to one side of the hot plate 2 where the connection part of the hot plate 2 is formed, and fixing opposite ends thereof and portions yielded by dividing substantially by four an interval between the opposite ends of the hot plate 2. Hereby, high rigidity of the hot plate 2 is ensured, and any vibration is damped by a damping effect with friction of contact portions between the hot plate 2 and time fixed portions of the reinforcing plate 9, whereby any vibration and noise of a refrigerator is prevented from being increased owing to resonance of the hot plate.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect a cooling pipe from being corroded at low cost and thereby secure reliability by constituting an inner box with a laminated material which comprises ABS resin and a polyvinylidene chloride-based film whose degree of water vapor permeation is degraded. SOLUTION: An expandable insulating material, such as urethane foam is filled up in a space formed with an inner box 3 and an outer box which constitute an insulated box. The inner box 3 is formed with a laminated material which comprises ABS resin 13 and a polyvinylidene chloride-based film whose degree of water vapor permeation is degraded. A groove which buries a cooling pipe 10 is vacuum-molded in the inner box 3. This construction makes it possible to prevent the vapor in the interior from passing through even when the thickness of the inner box 3 is thinner even when the inner box 3 is vacuum-molded and eliminate the demand for adding a waterproofing material into the groove and improve workability and protect the cooling pipe from being corroded at low cost and hence secure reliability as well.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To melt frost in a return air duct for refrigeration compartment at defrosting by extending a defrosting duct heater disposed under a cooler into the return air duct for refrigeration compartment. SOLUTION: In this refrigerator, in which the refrigeration compartment, freezer compartment, and vegetable compartment are formed in that order from above, a defrosting duct heater 18 is disposed under a cooler 6 and extended into a return air duct 11 for the refrigeration compartment. In the cooling operation of the refrigerator, when warm and humid air from the refrigeration compartment passes through the duct 11, frost is produced on the surface of the duct 11. For defrosting, the heater 18 is energized to melt the frost in the duct 11 by means of hot air of the heater 18. As a result, the reliability of the duct 11 can be ensured and power consumption can be restrained.
