Date Feb. 12, 1998A temperature control device is provided in a refrigerator having at least one compartment (RC or FC) defined by top, bottom and opposite side walls (TW; BW; and SW), and a heat insulating material (12) exteriorly encircling the compartment. One of the side walls (SW) has a mounting hole (2) defined therein and a front surface thereof confronts the compartment (RC or FC). The device includes a box-like console (C), and a circuit carrier board (3) fixedly connected to a rear surface of the console (C). Electric wiring (11) extends outwardly from the circuit carrier board, and a display panel (30) is disposed on a front surface of the console (C). At least one manipulatable temperature control element (31a, 31b, 31c: PB, LED) is mounted on the console (C), and a hat-like console casing (13) having a peripheral flange (10) is fixedly secured to the side wall (SW) in alignment with the mounting hole (2). The peripheral flange (10) is held in abutment with a rear surface of the side wall (SW) so as to define a console pocket (CP). Also, a plurality of mounting elements (6a, 6b; 55) are engaged with an outer surface of the side wall (SW) around the mounting hole (2) for securing the console (C) to the side wall (SW). The console (C) is received in the console pocket (CP) with the electric wiring (11) accommodated within the console pocket (CP) and with the display panel (30) and the temperature control element confronting the compartment.

SOLUTION: A main body of a box-shaped substrate storage member 7 having a substrate 3 fixed on a rear surface thereof and an operation part 9 on a front surface thereof is abutted to a side surface of a refrigerator inner box 1. The substrate 3 and bound wiring 11 are stored in an inner space of a heat insulating cover 13.     Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator which achieves inexpensive specifications that eliminates the need for a special vibrationproof measure of a capillary tube and is equipped with a highly efficient cooling system. SOLUTION: A refrigerant is circulated through a rear condenser 5, a capillary tube 8, a cooler 9 and a return tube 10 in the order from a compressor 4. The capillary tube 8 is kept in contact with the return pipe 10 in a heat insulating material of a refrigerator to accomplish a sufficient heat exchange and then, branched off. The capillary tube 8 and the return pipe 10 are placed in a machine room 1 from a return pipe inlet/outlet 11 and a capillary tube inlet/outlet 12 provided respectively on both sides of a bottom plate 2 of the refrigerator and then, separated in the machine room 1. An air convection is generated by an electric blower 14 in the machine chamber 1. A drier 7 is arranged on the upstream side from the compressor 4 in the air convection.

SOLUTION: For a refrigerator, a heat insulating material cover 14 which has a recess 14 provided in opposition to the square hole opened in the flank of an inner box and a flange face 16 provided around a recess 15 and abutting on the rear of an inner box 2 is inserted into the square hole opened at the flank of the inner box 2 of this refrigerator, and a substrate housing member 4 which has an operation part provided at the surface, an inner box abutment part 6 provided at the periphery of the rear, a peripheral rib 7 provided inside the inner box abutment part 6, and a substrate mount 8 inside the peripheral rib 7, is arranged within the recess 15 besides being within the square hole. Then, the temperature adjuster for the refrigerator is embedded in the flank of the inner box of the refrigerator by seal member 19 applied between the flange face 16 of the heat insulating cover 14 and the inner box.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure sealability at the time of re-assembling by forming fitting protrusion and recess on the contact surface of a foamable heat insulator, increasing the width of the insertion part of the protrusion larger than the widths of the engaging parts of the protrusion and recess, and increasing in width the release part of the recess as compared with the width of the engaging part of the recess. SOLUTION: Fitting protrusion 21 and recess 31 are respectively provided on a front foamable heat insulator 2 and rear foamable heat insulator 30. The protrusion 21 is constituted by an insertion part 22 provided at an end and engaging part 23 of the protrusion 21, and the recess 31 is constituted by a release part 32 of the recess 31 provided at an end and engaging part 33 of the recess 31. And, a width of the part 22 of the protrusion 21 is formed larger than a width of the part 23 of the protrusion 21, a width of the part 32 is formed larger than that of the part 33, and the width of the part 22 of the protrusion 21 is formed larger than that of the part 33 of the recess 31. Thus, sealability at the time of re-assembling can be ensured, and the thickness of a duct is ensured, and the insulators 20, 30 can be effectively fixed.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a full access to a food storing space of a refrigerator, facilitate a control of an indoor temperature of the refrigerator in a relaxed posture, and enable a mounting of wiring at a place where one can readily find them while eliminating the use of an elongated electric wire and preventing the breakage of the electric wire. SOLUTION: A temperature controller of a refrigerator comprises a hole 2 formed in one inner side face 1 thereof, a box-shaped circuit board accommodating member 7 which is fitted into the hole 2 by means of a pawl provided at the upper portion thereof while having a circuit board fixedly mounted on the rear surface thereof by small bolts and the like and a display portion mounted on the front surface thereof, an operating board portion having a recessed indentation which can be mounted to the circuit board accommodating member 7, and a heat insulation cover which has a flange portion thereof brought into contact with the rear face around the hole 2 and accommodates a wiring 11 which is connected with a circuit board therein. In the above construction, the heat insulation cover and the circuit board accommodating member 7 are embedded in the inner side face 1 of the refrigerator.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce pressure loss of chilled air in a cold storage compartment cooling air duct of a refrigerator-freezer and enhance the cooling speed and reduce an air duct area and widen an interior space as well. SOLUTION: This refrigerator-freezer comprises an upward chilled air duct 7 provided in a partition wall 1, an upward chilled air introduction passage 8 communicated therewith, an upper-part opened vent opening 9 provided on the upper end of the chilled air introduction passage 8 and an upward chilled air passage 10 from the vent opening 9 to a cold storage compartment 3. An opening 12 of a chilled air control device is provided between the vent opening 9 of the cold storage compartment cooling passage 8 and the chilled air passage 10. The chilled air introduction passage 8, the opening 12 of the chilled air control device and the chilled air passage 10 are laid out on a straight line, thereby reducing the number of bending parts and constituting an air duct which minimizes pressure loss and cutting down the air duct area as well.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a thermal insulating material from entering an air passage by a method wherein a refrigeration chamber torturing air passage for returning cold air sent to a storing chamber back to a cooler and a vegetable chamber discharging air passage for feeding cold air to a vegetable chamber are integrally assembled by a cover of the cooler. SOLUTION: Cold air cooled by a cooler 10 is partially sent by a blower from a freezing chamber discharging port into a freezing chamber, cools the inner area of the chamber, thereafter the air returns back from the freezing chamber suction port to the cooler 10. In addition, residual cold air passes through the storing chamber discharging air passage and is sent to the refrigeration chamber, cools the inner area of the chamber, thereafter returns back to the cooler 100 through a refrigeration chamber returning air passage 32 integrally assembled with the cover of the cooler. Further, the cold air branched at the midway part of the refrigeration chamber returning air passage and sent to the vegetable chamber through the vegetable chamber discharging air passage 33 integrally assembled to the cover 29 of the cooler cools the chamber, thereafter returns to he cooler 10 through the vegetable chamber returning air passage. In this way, since the air passage 33 and the air passage 32 are integrally assmbled by the cover 29, it is possible to prevent a thermal insulating material from entering the device.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent some fine irregular surfaces or corrugations at a door surface of a thermal insulated door of a refrigerator and the like by a method wherein a foamed thermal insulation material is filled into the space formed by a glass, an outer plate forming a colored layer at a rear surface of the glass and a colored layer protection film, a door frame fixed to an outer entire surface of the outer plate and an inner plate of the door. CONSTITUTION:A door 10 is constituted by an outer plate 11, an inner plate 13 of the door, and a door frame 12. The outer plate 11 is formed by a glass 11a, a colored layer 11b formed by a transfer printing at a rear surface of the glass 11a and a colored layer protection film 11c. Its outer circumference is formed with a chamferred part 11d. The outer circumference of the outer plate 11 is inserted into a groove 12a of the door frame 12 and integrally fitted to it through a flexible member 12b. Foaming thermal insulation material 14 is filled into the space formed by the outer plate 11, the door frame 12 and the inner plate 13 of the door. In this way, the appearance of the surface of the door can be improved with luster of the glass.
