Abstract: PURPOSE:To distribute fluid uniformly into a header and grooved parts and improve heat exchanging performance by a method wherein a plurality of sheets of heat exchanging plates, provided with an end plate, a plurality of grooves, a header and the other header, separated from the header, are laminated while an inlet pipe and an outlet pipe as well as the inlet and outlet sections of the end plate are flattened. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of sheets of heat exchanging sheets 21, on which grooves are worked, are laminated and end plates 22 are superposed on both ends of the laminated heat exchanging sheets while the heat exchanging sheets 21 are brought into close contact with the end plates 22 so that fluid 23, 24 do not leak from grooves 27, 28 and an inlet tube 26, whose section communicated with a header 25 is flattened, is attached. The heat exchanging sheets 21 are laminated by turning them by 90 deg. one by one whereby each sheet is constituted so that different fluid 23, 24 flow therethrough. Accordingly, grooves 27, 28 become heat exchanging units and heat is exchanged between fluids 23, 24 flowing thorugh an upper plate and a lower plate. In this case, one part of the inlet tube is flattened to disperse the fluid into the header 25 and distribute it uniformly into the grooves 27, 28 whereby heat exchanging performance can be improved.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain hydrophilic property persistence by oxidizing and decomposing hydrophobic molecules of organic material adhered to a fin surface by a photocatalytic action of titanium oxide by providing a fin containing the titanium oxide at least on one surface of the fin, and providing a film containing hydrophilic surface treating agent on the other surface. SOLUTION: The fin 12 is executed on a lower surface of the surface thereof with a corrosion resistant film 3, and on an upper layer with a film 13 containing titanium oxide. That is, the fins 12 for constituting the fin and tube type heat exchanger are executed on the lower layer of the surface thereof with the film 3 and on the upper layer with the film 13 containing the titanium oxide. Thus, hydrophobic molecules of the organic material adhered to the surface of the fin 12 is oxidized and decomposed by photocatalytic action of the titanium. Thus, hydrophilic persistence can not only be maintained, but also superhydrophilic sate can be maintained. Further, since offensive component or organic material is oxidized and decomposed, breeding of mold is suppressed, and generation of offensive odor can be prevented.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the process, and to suppress dispersion in the width of corner beveling and to make the width uniform by using a jig which a provided with a fin end part in parallel to the expanded tube of a tube so that the corner of the fin end part is beveled. SOLUTION: The end part of the fin 3 is beveled associatively with the insertion of a mandrel 12 expanding the tube 11 at the tube expansion machining of the manufacture process of the heat exchanger 1. This is carried out by using the jig 113 provided to a fixation plate where the mandrel 12 is fixed. Therefore, the need for the beveling process for the corner 4 of the end part of the fin as the final process of the manufacture is eliminated. Further, the corner 4 can be beveled automatically, so variance in the beveling width of the corner 4 can be suppressed and made uniform, thus the heat exchanger 1 is easily stored on a drain pan.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent a remarkable decrease in cooling performance even when a heat exchanger is frosted by not completely sealing an air passage even if the exchanger is frosted, feeding the air to a downstream side through a remaining air passage and effectively cooling with a part having small frost and to further shorten a defrosting time by rapidly melting entire frost even at the time of defrosting. CONSTITUTION:A heat exchanger comprises a plurality of many fins 12a, 12b aligned in parallel, and a plurality of rows of heat transfer tubes 13 passing through the fins 12a, 12b. The fins 12a, 12b have cutouts 12c, 12d between passed parts of the tubes 13. Air passages formed entirely obliquely to the fins 12a, 12b are formed of the cutouts 12c, 12d, and no cutouts 12c, 12d exist on the downstream side of the air of the fins 12a, 12b in the exchanger.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To perform a mildewproofing effect without reducing hydrophilic properties by alternately disposing fins each provided with a hydrophilic film and fins each provided with mildewproofing agent to the film. CONSTITUTION:When fins 3 each provided with a hydrophilic film and fins 5 provided with mildewproofing agent to the film are alternately disposed at a predetermined interval in parallel, condensed water adhered to the fin at the time of room cooling does not become droplets, but completely moistened to reduce a ventilation resistance, thereby reducing noise. The agent has a feature of a halo effect to perform mildewproofing effect to the periphery. Since the mildewproofing effect is performed to not only the fin 5 provided with the agent to the hydrophilic film but also the fin 3 provided with the hydrophilic film, it can prevent mildew from being bred at a heat exchanger body.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To keep the persistence of inhibitive action against the propagation of fungi and bacteria, by a method wherein after a hydrophilic coat consisting of a fungicide or silica with a water-dispersing property is formed on the surface of a fin member, a water-wettable coat with fine through-holes on the surface thereof is formed. CONSTITUTION:A fin member 1 for a heat exchanger is composed of a thin aluminum-made fin 2 with consideration for press working, and a hydrophilic coat 4 for which a fungicide 3 is properly mixed into a low molecular weight compound having an alkali silicate and a carbonyl group and dispersed, is formed on the surface of the aluminum-made fin. After that, the surface of the aluminum-made fin coated is also coated with another low molecular weight compound, which has not the fungicide but has the alkali silicate and the carbonyl group, and thus a water-wettable coat 5 is formed, of which the surface layer has fine through-holes. In this way, the fin member for which the persistence of a fungicidal effect is improved can be obtained.
