Abstract: A method of producing signals to emulate TETRA direct mode physical layer to a broadband network, particularly WiMAX network is disclosed. Frames of broadband signals are arranged as a time slot to form a direct mode multiframe, said multiframe is made up of 18 direct mode frames according to TETRA direct mode specification. Two time slots are provided for a call transaction, a first and third time slot within a direct mode frame, for every communication channel. A proper modulation is later assigned for each direct mode burst including linearization burst, synchronization burst and normal burst. The preamble of direct mode burst shall be different from the one used for WiMAX.

Abstract: Described herein are a system (100) and a method (200) that permit dynamic regrouping of call groups (107) (108) on an IP-based wireless communication network (114), wherein each of the call groups consists of a plurality of members having mobile stations (109) (110) (111) (112). In other words, the dynamic regrouping of the present invention permits the members of different call groups (107) (108) to communicate with each other during the occurrence of an event, e.g. an emergency event, without prior knowledge of each other identity. In general, the call groups (107) (108) are clustered together by a dynamic regrouping server (DRS) (102) to form a virtual group (113), which allows direct transmission of data from a base station (105) (106) to the members having mobile stations (109) (110) (111) (112) within the selected call groups (107) (108) via the said virtual group (113).

Abstract: The present invention relates to a wireless communication system. In order to ensure synchronization between the MCCA module (223, 323) and the antenna selection module (250, 350), a synchronization module (260, 360) is provided in the wireless communication system.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an improved system and method for managing a talkgroup in an intelligent cloud communication network. The present invention allows participation of any mobile stations having diversity in term of hardware and architectures in the talkgroup on wireless communication networks such as WiMAX, Wi-Fi, LTE, etc., and maintain the talkgroup communication between the mobile stations (200) during the network downtime. The system comprises a cloud base station (400) connected to the base station (100) comprising a master cloud arbitrator (401) and a cell site cloud arbitrator (402). The master cloud arbitrator (401) comprises a primary talkgroup controller (401a) for processing a talkgroup request received from the base station (100). The cell site cloud arbitrator (402) comprises a secondary talkgroup controller (402a) for processing the talkgroup request redirected from the primary talkgroup controller (401a) during a connection failure to the master cloud arbitrator (401) via a local mesh network formed by the base station (100) and the backhaul point (300).
