Abstract: A system (100) and method (300) are presented for the adaptive aggregating of communication bandwidth of a user device (101) connecting to the multiple network service providers (102). The system (100) comprises a user device (101), multiple network service providers (102) and a bandwidth aggregator module (103), residing at the user device (101), for providing connections to the multiple network service providers (102). The bandwidth aggregator module (103) includes an aggregator unit (201) configured to split data file into data chunks and to group based on a generated bandwidth aggregation ratio, and multiple queue buffers (204) configured to receive and disseminate the grouped data chunks to each respective network service provider. The method (300) comprising the steps of registering and initializing (S301) a user device (101) into multiple network service providers (102), generating a bandwidth aggregation ratio (S302) based on a calculated link rate for each network service provider (102), and aggregating the communication bandwidth (S303) based on the generated bandwidth aggregation ratio among multiple network service providers (102).

Abstract: The present invention relates to a system and method for managing a cognitive radio network, for eliminating interference to the primary users (20) within the vicinity of the cognitive radio network such that the data transmission service quality of the primary users (20) in a cognitive radio network is ensured while optimal operation of the cognitive radio devices (10) is maintained. The present invention further comprises a method for managing a cognitive radio network comprising the step of controlling transmit power of the cognitive radio network in accordance to the presence of primary users (20) as detected by the cognitive radio devices (10). Abstract: This disclosure describes a system and method for opportunistic common control channel allocation in a distributed network (500). A control channel manager (230) residing in a secondary user (200) is used for forming a plurality of clusters (300) having one or more secondary users (200) therewith in in which one of the secondary users (200) in each cluster (300) is selected as a cluster head (20I); and transmitting information of spectrum allocation by the cluster head (201) through a common control channel that resides in each cluster (300) upon recognizing availability of the spectrum which is sensed by the secondary users (200) for secondary users to communicate in the network (500). Such system supports both overlay and underlay communications whereby in the existence of primary users (100) in the network (500), the information of spectrum allocation is transmitted through the common control channels through underlay communication.
