Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the dimensional stability and film characteristics by applying polyamic acid obtained through the reaction of specific two kinds of acid anhydride and two kinds of amine in a solvent, to metallic foil. CONSTITUTION:Applied on a metallic foil is at least two kinds of 20-80mol.% pyromellitic dianhydride and 80-20mol.% 3,3',4,4 '-biphenyl tetracarboxylic dianhydride and polyamic acid obtained through the reaction of two kinds of amine of 50-80mol.% p-phenylene diamine and 50-20mol.% diamine represented by the formula. Following this, it is heated Into dry imidation for obtaining a polyinide film/metallic foil laminated body. In the formula, X indicates a hydrocarbon radical of l-10 direct-coupled carbon numbers, hexafluoro isopropylidene, a carbonyl group, a thio group or a sulfonyl group.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain an FMCL having excellent adhesion durability through which a heat-resistant polymer film is adhered firmly and stably to a metal foil by forming the heat-resistant polymer film layer of a film layer where two or more different heat-resistant polymer are laminated. CONSTITUTION:Heat-resistant polymer or precursor therefor having high adhesion to a metal foil or the heat-resistant polymer to be formed later is applied onto the surface of the metal foil, then it is thermally dried. Consequently, a first layer composed of the heat-resistant polymer or precursor therefor is provided. Then heat-resistant polymer having higher glass transition temperature than the heat-resistant polymer or precursor solution therefor is applied thereon, thereafter it is dried to form a second layer. By Such arrangement, a heat- resistant polymer film composed of two or more different heat-resistant polymers are formed.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a flexible copper clad laminated plate improved in heat resistance, adhesiveness and heat deterioration resistance by forming a nickel/ copper alloy layer between one copper foil layer and a heat-resistant polymer film. CONSTITUTION:The thickness of a copper foil is arbitrarily selective and pref. within a range of 10-50mum. The thickness of the nickel/copper alloy layer formed on the copper foil layer is pref. about 0.1-2mum. A heat-resistant polymer film layer is composed of a heat-resistant polymer having an imide bond and/or a heat-resistant polymer having a heterocyclic ring other than the imide bond and pref. obtained by applying a solution of polyimide or polyamideimide to the nickel/copper alloy layer formed on the surface of the copper foil and drying the formed coating layer under heating.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To correct the dimensional difference between layers or curl by bringing the larger dimensional layer or the outer layer being curled of a flexible metal plastic laminating sheet into slide contact under the tension with the contact part of a rotatable blade being below 0.5mm in its radius of curvature. CONSTITUTION:In the case of the correcting the dimensional difference between layers or the outer layer being curled of a flexible metal plastic laminating sheet (FMCL) 3, the larger dimensional layer or the outer layer being curled of FMCL 3 is made to slide in bringing into contact with a blade 1 while adding a predetermined tension. Inasmuch as, in this case, friction produces between the blade 1 and FMCL 3, a large tension is required, and as the friction is large, it may result in producing the plastic deformation of extension in a metallic foil layer. And the contact part 2 of the blade 1 is made to be rotatable at the radius of curvature of being below 0.5mm, and FMCL 3 is brought into contact therewith at the angle of +80--80 deg.. In this manner, the dimensional difference between layers or curl of SMCL can easily be corrected while preventing the plastic deformation of extension of the metallic foil layer.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To permit the easy correction of a dimensional difference between a metallic layer and a plastic layer, by a method wherein the flexural rigidity of the metallic layer is made smaller than a specified value while the bending rigidity of the plastic layer is made larger than the specified value of the flexural rigidity of the metallic layer. CONSTITUTION:When a laminated plate is to be passed through the end of a bar while bending and contacting the metallic layer side with the end of the bar having the curved surface on the end, which is provided with the radius of curvature smaller than 0.5mm, a compressive stress is exerted on the whole of the metallic layer due to a balance in flexural rigidity of the metallic layer and the plastic layer when the flexural rigidity of the metallic layer is less than 20g/cm and the flexural rigidity of the plastic layer is larger than 1/500 of the flexural rigidity of said metallic layer, therefore, a compressive plastic deformation is generat ed whereby the value of the compressive plastic deformation can be made higher thin 0.4%. On the other hand, almost all of a tensile stress, exterted on the plastic layer, causes only an elastic deformation, therefore, the dimension of the plastic layer is not changed. As an integrated result, only the compressive plastic deformation of the metallic layer remains in a FMCL, processed already, as the shrinkage of higher than 0.4%, therefore, a dimensional difference between the metallic layer and the plastic layer is reduced to 0.1% or less and the dimensional difference may be removed substantially and essentially.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve flexibility and workability, by a method wherein the shrinkage factor of a plastic thin film as well as the content of solvent in plastic are made smaller than specified values when the whole of a metallic foil is removed while a bonding strength between the metallic foil and the plastic thin film is made larger than a specified value. CONSTITUTION:The shrinkage factor of a plastic thin film is made smaller than + or -0.3% by a method wherein compression and/or orientation plastic defor mation is caused in a FMCL having the plastic thin film, consisting of at least one layer directly formed on the metallic foil without employing any adhesive agent and having less than 0.2% of the content of solvent. A plastic film layer consisting of at least two layers, whose solvent content of the whole of the plastic thin film layer is smaller than 0.2%, average thermal linear expansion coefficient is larger than the same of the metal in the range of -1.0-+0.4X10 / deg.C, tensile elasticity modulus of the plastic contacting with the metallic foil in a room temperature is at least 100-400kg/mm and 90 deg. peel bonding strength is 0.7kg/cm, is provided.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a FMCL, useful in industries, by eliminating the curl of the curled laminate of a flexible metal and a plastic, in which a metallic foil is laminated on a plastic film with the metal foil side inside thereof. CONSTITUTION:In the case of a continuous sheet FMCL having a high utility, a dimensional difference between the curl of a metallic foil and a plastic film of a FMCL, in which the metallic foil is curled with the metal foil side inside of the laminate, is eliminated by a method wherein a first process, in which the continuous FMCL consisting of a plastic film formed on the continuous metallic foil at the inside of the laminate is slid lengthwisely on the small curved surface of the edge of a first blade, provided with the angle of 0-80 deg. with respect to the widthwise direction of the laminate, under a tensed condition of the plastic film at the inside of a curvature, and a second process, in which the continuous FMCL is slid lengthwisely on the small curved surface of the edge of a second blade, provided with the angle of 0-80 deg. with respect to the widthwise direction of the laminate, under a tensed condition of the plastic film at the inside of a curvature, are effected at least one time respectively in an arbitrary sequence.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To correct interlaminar dimensional difference, by allowing a long flexible metal foil laminated plate curled in such a state that a metal foil having a thin polymer film is turned to the inside to slide on the curved surface of a specific bar under tension in the longitudinal direction so as to turn the polymer film to the inside. CONSTITUTION:A long flexible metal foil laminated plate (FMCL), wherein a thin polymer film is provided on a metal foil, curled in such a state that the metal foil is turned to the inside is allowed to slide on the curved surface of a bar provided at an angle of 0-80 deg. with respect to the axial direction thereof under tension in such a state that the polymer film is turned to the inside. Further, the FMCL is allowed to slide on the curved surface of the bar provided at an angle of 0--80 deg.C with respect to the lateral direction of the FMCL under tension in the longitudinal direction in such a state that the polymer film is turned to the inside. One of these processes is performed once or more or both of them are performed in arbitrary order once or more to correct the curling of the FMCL.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a kneading roll prevented from the variation in an insulating resistance value and suitable for the resin used in an electronics field, by consti tuting the part in contact with a roll from a blade comprising ceramics. CONSTITUTION:As the blade material quality of the part contacted with a roll, ceramics such as alumina and titania is used. Especially, from the aspect of durability and flexural strength, zirconia such as monocrystalline zirconia is pref. The material quality of the roll is not limited but the roll made of ceramics such as alumina or silica is further pref. When thus formed kneading roll is used to manufacture a liquid seal material or a sealer, for example, from a liquid epoxy resin, a product extremely high in reliability can be obtained without varying an insulating resistance value at every manufacturing lot.
