Abstract: PURPOSE: To produce an integral-skin polyurethane foam which cures in a short time without causing swelling on demolding by pouring a reaction mixture contg. an arom. polyisocyanate, a high-molecular isocyanate-reactive compd., and a specific blowing agent into a mold and allowing the mixture to foam to a specified density. CONSTITUTION: A reaction mixture is prepd. by mixing an arom. polyisocyanate, a high-molecular isocyanate-reactive compd., and a blowing agent comprising a tert. amine (e.g. 1-isobutyl-2-methylimidazole) salt of an acid selected from among phosphoric acid and its derivatives having a mol.wt. of 98-1,150, boric acid and its esters having a mol.wt. of 61-146, and aliph. carboxylic acids having a mol.wt. of 46-300, and if necessary a crosslinker, a catalyst, another blowing agent, a foam stabilizer, and other additives. The mixture is poured into a mold and allowed to foam, giving an integral-skin polyurethane foam having a density of 0.3-0.8g/cm .

CONSTITUTION:The foam is produced by reacting (A) a polyisocyanate with (B) a polyol such as ethylene glycol, (C) water, (D) other assistants such as foam stabilizer and (E) 5-80 pts.wt. (based on 100 pts.wt. of total polyol) of a polyether polyol having a hydroxyl value of 24-55mgKOH/g and obtained by using a compound of formula (R1 to R3 are 1-3C lower alkyl or alkenyl; n is 0-3) such as trimethyldiethylenetriamine as a base agent.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To produce a polyurethane foam having a low free blow density, free from a blister of a foam and excellent in moldability with an excellent productivity even when carbonic acid gas is used as a foaming agent without using a (substitute) flon by using a specified inflating agent. CONSTITUTION:(A) An aromatic polyisocyanate (preferably, e.g. polymethylene- polyphenyl isocyanate containing polynuclear substances of >= trinuclear substance in an amount of 260wt.%), (B) a high-molecular compound reactive with an isocyanate (e.g. a polyol synthesized by additional polymerization of ethylene oxide to propylene glycol), (C) an inflating agent composed of a salt between an organic carboxylic acid (preferably formic acid, etc.) and a tert-amine (e.g. 1-methylimidazole) and, if necessary, a cross-linking agent, a catalyst, a foaming agent, a foam stabilizer and other assistant agents are blended. The resultant mixture is charged into a mold to obtain the objective product having 0.3 to 0.8g/cm molding density. In addition, reaction injection molding method is preferably used as the molding method.

CONSTITUTION:An aromatic polyisocyanate (A) is reacted with a polyol (B) of a molecular weight of 700-12000 and a mono-ol (C) of a molecular weight of 35-1000 in such amounts to give a C/A equivalent ratio of 0.01-0.2 and a B/A equivalent ratio of 0.01-0.2 to obtain an isocyanate component. This component is reacted with a polyol, a resin component containing water and other adjuvants and an amine catalyst for expansion to obtain a semirigid urethane foam of a density of 0.03-0.08g/cm .

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain an integral-skin-clad polyurethane foam which is expanded with water only, has a low surface hardness and does not blister when demolded by performing a process for obtaining a polyurethane foam by pouring an aromatic polyisocyanate, a high-molecular-weight NCO-reactive compound, a cross- linking agent, water and a fatty acid methyl ester as a viscosity reducing agent in the presence of a catalyst into a mold, wherein the amount of the fatty acid methyl ester added is specified. CONSTITUTION:A process for obtaining the polyurethane foam by pouring an aromatic polyisocyanate, a high-molecular-weight NCO-reactive compound (A) (e.g. polymer polyol), a cross-linking agent (e.g. diethylene glycol), water as a blowing agent, a fatty acid methyl eater desirably one having 6-20 carbon atoms in the fatty acid moiety as a viscosity reducing agent in the presence of a catalyst (e.g. triethylenediamine) into a mold, wherein the amount of the fatty acid methyl ester added is 5-20 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. compound A, is provided. As a result, the objective foam having a density of 0.3-0.8g/cm is obtained.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve adhesivity to skin material in obtaining a rigid urethane foam with a skin material by blending a polyisocyanate with a polyol, water, a catalyst and a foam stabilizer, bringing the blend into contact with a skin material and subjecting to foam molding. CONSTITUTION:A prepolymer of an aromatic polyisocyanate (e.g. 2,4-tolylene diisocyanate) and a polyester polyol (e.g. reaction product of succinic acid and neopentyl glycol) or a polyisocyanate containing the prepolymer is blended with a polyol (preferably comprising 80-95wt.% polyol having 2-8 functional groups and 300-700mgKOH hydroxyl numbers and 20-5wt.% polyol having 2-4 functional groups and 700-2,000mgKOH hydroxyl numbers), water, a catalyst, a foam stabilizer and, if necessary, a halogenated hydrocarbon-based blowing agent and a filler, brought into contact with a skin material and subjected to foam molding to give a rigid urethane foam with a skin material.
