    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect the torsion of a female type terminal. SOLUTION: This electric connector is provided with a housing 14 which has terminal receiving passages 27, 27' and female type terminals 40, 40'. Each terminal receiving passage 27, 27' has a section, receives the terminals 40, 40' and protects the torsion of the terminals 40, 40' in cooperation therewith. The terminals 40, 40' are respectively provided with a slender 2nd flat trunk part 42, and an end part 26 extending to the rear of the trunk part 42, and a contact part 44 extending to the front of the trunk part 42. The contact part 44 has a pair of contact spring arms 46 which branch off to 2 transverse direction and have contact portions 48 facing each other to define terminal receiving passages 27, 27'. The trunk part 42 is provided with holding parts 50, 90 having a pair of holding beams 52, 92 which branch off and are placed side by side out of the plane of the trunk part' 42.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel and improved heat sink holder and a heat sink assembly using the same. SOLUTION: A heat sink assembly 10 is provided with a heat exchange part 20 equipped with a heat-conductive sheet and the heat-conductive sheet is folded into alternate projections and recesses and forms a cylindrical fin as a whole. The recesses form an internal segmented cylinder, the projections form an external segmented cylinder almost concentric with this internal cylinder, and the f in is radially extended outward from an axis. A heat-conductive core 52 is provided inside the internal segmented cylinder and conducts heat to be diffused away from a heat generating component to the heat exchange part. A holder 18 is engaged to the cylindrical folded sheet at the second edge of the fin. The heat exchange part 20 is attached to a base plate 22, a complementary mutual engage latch 30 is provided between the holder 18 and the base plate 20 and the heat exchange part 20 is held between them.

Each passage 41 includes a pair of sloped side walls 41b supporting a twisted holding part 44 for the terminal 40.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To terminate the metal shield of a high speed cable to a terminal member, by making it possible to joint the metal shield of a cable in each grip arm, to an earthed plate, while the exposed part of the metal shield is in the grip arm. SOLUTION: A high speed signal transmission terminal module 30 is inserted to the passage 31 of an insulating housing 12 from the rear side. The module 30 includes a pair of same terminal blockes 30a and 30b, and an earthing plate 32 is clamped between the terminal blocks. The blocks 30a and 30b include posts 34 and recesses. The posts 34 are extended from the blocks 30a and 30b, to the recesses of the other side blocks through the hole 44 of the plate 32, and the blocks 30a and 30b are fixed to the plate 32 as subassemblies. When the assembly is inserted to the passage 31 of the housing 12, the blocks 30a and 30b clamp the plate 32. The module 30 is held in the housing 12 by the inclined ratches 36 of the blocks 30a and 30b.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To terminate a metal shield to an earting plate, by providing a spring jaw in order to glasp the exposed part of the metal shield without deforming an inner insulating cover, and to install a cable receiving part to the earthing plate at the terminal part. SOLUTION: A high speed signal transmission terminal module 30 is inserted to the passage 31 of an insulating housing 12 from the rear side. The module 30 includes a pair of terminal blocks 30a and 30b and clamps an earthing plate 32 between the terminal blocks. The terminal blocks 30a and 30b include a post 34 and a recess. The post 34 is extended from the blocks 30a and 30b, to the recess of the other side block through the hole of the earthing plate 32, and fixes the blocks 30a and 30b to the plate 32 as assemblys. When a subassembly is inserted to the passage 31 of the housing 12, the blocks 30a and 30b clamp the earthing plate 32. The module 30 is held in the housing 12 by the inclined ratches 36 of the blocks 30a and 30b.

SOLUTION: A first connector 12 is equipped with a housing 30 having a multifunctional latch post 32. The latch post 32 includes a distant end 46 threaded on the inside to accept a jackscrew latching mechanism of a counter connector, and an external shoulder part 42 to receive a spring arm latching mechanism 54 of a different counter connector 14. Further, the latch post includes a thin shank part 40 to form a second shoulder part 44 in order to easily mount the first connector 12 on a panel 22. The spring arm latching mechanism 54 passes through a mounting protrusion 64 and is arranged at a connector 14 of one side. The spring arm latching mechanism 54 contains a mounting flange 80 that can be inserted under a mounting protrusion 64, and this mounting flange 80 has a lip 84 bent upward in order to prevent it from inserted into an opening under mounting protrusion 64.
