Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dispenser capable of reducing the necessity of cleaning, suppressing satellite formation and atomization, and preventing liquid from leaking through a liquid dispensing outlet.SOLUTION: The dispenser 10 for applying a small amount of liquid to a substrate includes a dispenser body 12, an actuator 10b within the dispenser body, and a dispensing element 50 including a dispensing element body 52 removably coupled to the dispenser body. A valve stem 60 is attached so as to reciprocate within the dispensing element body. Additional aspects include a deformable valve seat, a deformable and resilient valve stem tip, and a method for applying liquid in discrete amounts to a substrate.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for distributing a material containing an adhesive on a substrate containing a box and a carton. SOLUTION: Either of a first or a second dispenser is made to function in a distribution and standby mode, or both distribute at least a part of the distribution pattern. When a trouble of one side of the dispensers is detected, the dispenser with trouble is allowed not to function, and besides by distributing a complete pattern by the other dispenser, production is maintained.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the need for a dynamic liq. seal to be engaged with a valve spindle by magnetic coupling, by arranging an inner first magnetic body connected to the valve spindle movably in a device body along with the valve spindle and an outer second magnetic body around the valve spindle and magnetically moving the spindle along with an actuator. SOLUTION: The operation of a liq. discharger 10 is started by supplying a compressed liq. to a liq. passage by a duct 94 through a liq. entry port 92. When an actuator 58 is driven and energized by compressed air, the compressed air is supplied to an (aa) cavity 20 by the duct 94 through an air-inlet opening 54 to pull up a valve spindle 16 by the magnetically coupled actuator 58, the needle tip 76 of the spindle 16 is moved from a closing position to an opening position to separate the spindle from a valve seat 14, and the compressed liq. is made dischargerable from a discharge orifice 80. When the compressed air is decreased at the air-inlet opening 54, the actuator 58 is pushed down, and the spindle 16 is moved form the opening position to the closing position. As a result, the orifice 80 is closed, a tubular member is sealed by a contraction part using a static seal, and the liq. passage is separated.

Abstract:
An apparatus 10 for jetting liquid material in desired patterns includes a jetting module 18 that is couplable to a source of liquid material 12. A piston 46 is disposed for movement within an interior chamber 42 to rapidly develop high pressure within the module 18 so that liquid material 12 is jetted from through a pattern plate 70 in a desired pattern.

Abstract:
A nozzle assembly (11) of a fluid dispensing apparatus (10) includes a dispensing valve (32) adjacent a discharge orifice (34). The dispensing valve (32) opens to permit the flow of adhesive therethrough and closes to terminate the flow of adhesive in response to respective first and second states of the valve operating module (14). The fluid dispensing apparatus (10) has a separable nozzle plate (102) that includes the dispensing valve seat (100) and the discharge orifice (34) and is coupled to a nozzle body (72) with a mounting cap (104). A secondary valve (146) is located upstream of the dispensing valve (32) and permits adhesive to flow therethrough in response to both of the first and second states of the valve operating module. However, as the mounting cap (104) and nozzle plate (102) are removed, the secondary valve (146) automatically engages its valve seat (94), thereby terminating the flow of adhesive while the nozzle plate (102) is removed from the valve body (16).
