Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic fine tuning, at a site, of the rotor time- constant parameter of a motor in a field-oriented driving device without need of removing or separating the motor from an elevator system. SOLUTION: An elevator control apparatus 7 is provided with a logic 48. The logic 48 raises and lowers and elevator so as to, it computes a rotor time constant τR for a field-oriented current regulator/a motor driving device 20, it computes an average DXDERR of sign adjusted error signals for the raising, lowering and running operation of the elevator, it changes the time constant τR, and it decides the value of the time constant τR. By the value of the time constant τR, the average of DXDERR with reference to the raising, lowering and running operation of the elevator becomes equal to zero within a prescribed tolerance. IN addition, instead of computing the average of DXDERR, the value of the time constant τR at which the average of DXDERR becomes equal to zero within the prescribed tolerance is decided. As a result, a single elevator run operation can be used.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the degradation in accuracy of the operation of an elevator car door to a minimum, and to dispense with the conversion of the linear position of the door to the rotational position. SOLUTION: The positional and directional data on an elevator car door are converted by directly connecting one encoder to an encoder pulley. An idler pulley 32 is mounted on one side part of a header bracket 16, an encoder pulley 34 is mounted on a side part on the opposite side, and an association cable 36 which is extended above the pulleys 32, 34 and forms a closed loop comprising a first loop part and a second loop part is arranged. A rotary encoder to measure the position and the operational direction of the elevator car doors 12, 14 is directly arranged in the encoder pulley 34. A polymer liner of high coefficient of friction is used to minimize the friction between the pulleys and the association cable 36 is used for the idler pulley 32 and the encoder pulley 34.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain force keeping a brake and closing/opening of an elevator door, satisfying safety standards, independent of a linear electric motor, in relation to an elevator door operating device. SOLUTION: A friction material brake pad 11 is pressed against a surface of a door hanger 24 by a push type solenoid 19, and when no brake action is required, a brake shoe is pulled to be separated from the door hanger by a spring means. When a door power source is supplied, always a current is carried in the solenoid 19, and in the case of moving a door, always resultant force is placed in a neutral condition by force generated by a current supplied to a linear electric motor. When the power source is tripped during operation of the door, an instantaneous brake is executed by instantaneously operating the solenoid 19.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify software by the provision of a mechanical synchronization system and one motor drive unit. SOLUTION: This system includes a positioning and synchronization system for ensuring the synchronous opening and closing of an elevator car door, a fixed motor secondary side, a pair of movable motor primary sides driving each elevator car door, and a emotor drive unit for driving both motor primary sides. The motor drive unit generates a proper current and frequency to be supplied to both the motor primary sides. The operations of both elevation car doors are synchronized and the substantially same force is required for a specified time, and thereby one motor drive can be used for generating the current to drive both the doors.

SOLUTION: An elevator car door system for opening and closing the door of elevator car includes a high performance linear induction motor having a pair of moving primary sides 16 mounted to each door hanger 14 and a motor secondary side 18 mounted to a header bracket fixed to the elevator car. Each motor pirmary side 16 includes a primary winding 24 and back iron 26 forming electromagnetic air gap between a primary winding 24 and the motor primary side 16 separated by a plurality of spacers 28. The motor secondary side 18 is placed between the porimary winding 24 and the back iron 26 when the moving motor primary side 16 runs on the motor secondary side and generate thrust.

Abstract: When an elevator is running, the car door 27 is locked in the closed position by a brake shoe 12 which engages the edge of the door hanger 24 in response to a push-type solenoid 19 overcoming the force of a spring. When the door is not closed, a friction brake pad 11 contacts the door hanger surface to hold the door open for passenger boarding or to stop the door in case of failure of door operator power while the door is in motion.
