Only landmark information desired by a user out of a plurality of landmark information transmitted from a map server is displayed. An image capturing apparatus (102) includes: an imaging unit (114) that captures a digital image; a communication unit (112) that obtains a plurality of additional information from a predetermined map server (120) that holds the plurality of additional information each corresponding to an object included in the digital image captured by the imaging unit (114); a display-information extracting unit (113) that selects additional information to be displayed from among the plurality of additional information obtained by the communication unit (112); and an overlaying display processing unit (116) and a display unit (117) that display only the additional information selected by the display-information extracting unit (113) from among the plurality of additional information, to be overlaid on the digital image captured by the imaging unit (114).

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound collection apparatus provided with a user interface for setting a parameter value in a direction of sound to be collected, and a parameter value other than the direction, such as a sound volume, by a continuous operation, and to provide an image display apparatus provided with a user interface for setting intuitively a parameter value in a desired direction of an omnidirectional image, and a parameter value other than the direction, such as a zoom amount, using one input means. SOLUTION: The sound collection apparatus includes: an input means, an operation recognition means, a parameter value generating means and a controller control means. The sound collection apparatus recognizes an operation such as "touch" and "tracing" input by at least one finger in the input means, by the operation recognition means, generates values for a direction parameter and other than the direction parameter, based on a recognition result, and transmits the parameter values to a sound collection means/an image display means. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication device and others which can simplify various settings.SOLUTION: A communication device 8002 transmits external apparatus information received from an external apparatus 8001 via proximity radio communication to a server 8003 via a network. The communication device 8002 comprises: an antenna 8808 for performing proximity radio communication with the external apparatus 8001; a proximity radio communication unit 8809 which communicates with the external apparatus 8001 via the antenna 8808 to receive the external apparatus information; an external apparatus storage unit 8813 which stores the external apparatus information received by the proximity radio communication unit 8809; a registration information generation unit 8812 which generates registration information to be registered with a database in the server 8003 on the basis of the external apparatus information stored in the external apparatus storage unit 8813 and communication device information including communication device identification information for identifying the communication device 8002; and a server communication unit 8830 which transmits the registration information to the server 8003 via the network.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication device capable of simplifying various settings in a display device such as a television which provides information concerning an article (a communication device).SOLUTION: The communication device comprises a first processing unit 35, a first power supply unit 101, a use state detection unit 7020, a first memory 174, a second antenna 21, an RF-ID47, a second memory 52, and a second power supply unit 91. The RF-ID47 switches between a first communication mode which the first processing unit 35 reads use state information from the first memory 174 and transmits to another communication device by a short-range wireless communication in a state that the first power supply 101 supplies electric power to the first processing unit 35 and the first memory 174 based on an instruction received from the other communication device, and a second communication mode which the RF-ID47 reads identification information from the second memory 52 in a state that the second power supply unit 91 supplies electric power to the second memory 52.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a program recommendation server which rejects a program highly preferred in general, and recommends a program suitable for the preference of specific users. SOLUTION: In a program recommendation server 3: a reservation information receiver 230 receives reservation information transmitted by a program viewing terminal; a reservation information DB 235 stores the reservation information with respect to each of the users; a community reservation information statistics section 236 groups the users as a first group, based on the received reservation information, and the reservation information stored for each of the users; a user reservation information statistics section 237 groups the users as a second group including the first group; a recommended program creator 239 generates recommentation information specific to the first group, based on the result of aggregating the reservation information of the users belonging to the first group, and the result of aggregating the reservation information of the users belonging to the second group; a recommendation transmitter 240 transmits the recommentation information to the program viewing terminal, and the program viewing terminal reproduces the program based on the recommentation information. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication device capable of simplifying various settings in a display device such as a TV that provides information on an article (communication device).SOLUTION: The communication device comprises a RF-ID reader writer 46 for performing proximity wireless communication with an external RF-ID card 2100, a communication unit 2007 for performing communication with a server 42 at a speed faster than the proximity wireless, and a system control unit 2004 for controlling the RF-ID reader writer 46 and the communication unit 2007. The RF-ID reader writer 46 reads communication information for identifying the server 42 so as to connect from the RF-ID card 2100. The system control unit 2004 controls the identified server 42 and the communication unit 2007 so as to perform communication according to the communication information read from the RF-ID card 2100 by the RF-ID reader writer 46.
