Abstract:
Only landmark information desired by a user out of a plurality of landmark information transmitted from a map server is displayed. An image capturing apparatus (102) includes: an imaging unit (114) that captures a digital image; a communication unit (112) that obtains a plurality of additional information from a predetermined map server (120) that holds the plurality of additional information each corresponding to an object included in the digital image captured by the imaging unit (114); a display-information extracting unit (113) that selects additional information to be displayed from among the plurality of additional information obtained by the communication unit (112); and an overlaying display processing unit (116) and a display unit (117) that display only the additional information selected by the display-information extracting unit (113) from among the plurality of additional information, to be overlaid on the digital image captured by the imaging unit (114).
Abstract:
It is possible to provide a safe and user-friendly authentication system for authenticating an object required in various conditions. The authentication system (900) includes a first authentication information transmission device (901) having first authentication information, a second authentication information transmission unit (904) having second authentication information, and an authentication unit (905) for authenticating a user or user’s right. The second authentication information transmission unit (904) transmits second authentication information only while it receives the first authentication information transmitted from the first authentication information transmission device (901). The authentication unit (905) receives the second authentication information transmitted from the second authentication information transmission unit (904) and authenticates a user or user’s right according to the second authentication information.
Abstract:
A recording power determination method for determining a recording power of an optical beam for recording data on an information storage medium includes the steps of recording test data on the information storage medium at a plurality of test recording powers; reading the test data recorded at each test recording power, generating a signal, and measuring a modulation factor of the signal corresponding to each test recording power; calculating a product of an n'th power of each test recording power and the corresponding modulation factor, thereby obtaining a plurality of products corresponding to the plurality of test recording powers, where n is a value of exponent and is a real number other than 1; calculating a first recording power based on the correlation between the plurality of test recording powers and the plurality of products; and calculating the recording power based on the first recording power.
Abstract:
An optical disc device is provided with an optical pickup (6), which has a light source (23) which emits an optical beam (21) for irradiating an optical disc (100), at least one objective lens (22) for focusing the optical beam (21), and an actuator which shifts the objective lens (22) in a direction vertical to the optical disc (100); a transfer table (11) for transferring the optical pickup (6) in a disc diameter direction; a rim detecting means (30) for detecting that an irradiation position of the optical beam (21) is over an edge section of the optical disc (100), in the case of shifting the optical pickup (6) from an inner circumference side to an outer circumference side of the disc for seek operation; and a control means (40) which shifts the objective lens (22) in a direction to be away from the optical disc (100) by the actuator when the irradiation position of the optical beam (21) is detected over the edge section of the optical disc (100), and shifts the optical pickup (6) to the disc inner circumference side by the transfer table (11).
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk device which is capable of stably holding a plurality of disks that are stacked and of accurately mounting a disk on each of trays of a plurality of disk drives.SOLUTION: A disk device for supplying a disk to each of a plurality of disk drives comprises a carrier which holds a plurality of disks that are stacked, separates a disk from the plurality of disks that are held above a tray projected from any of the disk drives and mounts the disk that is separated to the tray. The carrier comprises a plurality of claws which support an inner peripheral part of the disk at the bottom among the plurality of disks and a disk press 81 which presses the disk at the top among the plurality of disks in such a manner that it is parallel to a disk mounting surface of the tray.
