SOLUTION: The system has an Ethernet controller and an electric-power forwarding function on the Ethernet as an integrated management component in a cable plant. A power-supplying apparatus and a power-receiving device are deployed by using an active electronic module to enhance management, documentation, security, and emergency 911 aspects of the network, and to extend physical reach of the network.
