    Abstract: A voltage changer (VC) (12) generates a wired VC output voltage (Uw). A transformer (14) fed on its primary side by the VC connects a load output (24) to its secondary side. A resonance capacitor (Cr) forms a resonance layout with leakage inductance for the transformer and/or an external inductance. A test device (16) determines operating parameters for a power supply system. A current sensor (22) measures current (ir) on the primary side of the transformer. An Independent claim is also included for a method for determining operating parameters for a power supply system.

    Abstract: Two proposals are made for power supply systems comprising at least one resonant inverter and one control unit. According to the first proposal the power supply system comprises two inverters and produces two output voltages, the control circuit processing as an actual value on the one hand the sum of and on the other hand the difference between the two output voltages. According to the second proposal a control circuit does not directly process the controlled variables for a power supply system comprising at least one inverter, but difference units for controlled variables determine the deviations from a preceding sampling instant and these difference values are processed. Also the correcting variable calculated in this way is a difference value which is converted into a correcting variable value by a correcting variable summing unit. The two proposals can be advantageously combined. As an important improvement is proposed the use of a limiting controller which generally becomes active in case of imminent transgression of a maximum value and which limits the actuation. The control circuit is preferably used as a digital control circuit for a state space control.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a power supply unit with an inverter which cooperates with a resonant circuit (L, C) and can be controlled so as to adjust the output power by means of a control unit (6). The power supply unit is characterized notably by the fact that it is formed by a first and a second switching unit (S1, S4; S2, S3) whereby a voltage of a first polarity can be applied to the resonant circuit (L, C) in a first switching state and a voltage of a second polarity can be applied thereto in a second switching state, the switching states being switchable by the control unit (6) in such a manner that in a first mode of operation for low output powers the output power can be adjusted by changing the duration of the switching states at an essentially constant switching frequency fs which is at least a predetermined factor lower than the resonance frequency fres of the resonant circuit, and that in a second mode of operation for high output powers the output power can be adjusted by changing the switching frequency in the range of the resonance frequency.
